The diagnosis of fibroadenoma is typically renderedon an appreciation of the cellular architecture at lower magnifications.A significant degree of cytologic atypia is often presentin these tumors and can lead to diagnostic confusion when an aspirateof fibroadenoma is evaluated at higher magnifications.
