Firstly, my eye was drawn to the vibrant red neon sign which was casting a lovely glow over the rain-soaked footpath. After surveying the scene for a
moment, I saw a couple of red cars parked, and then to ice the opportunity, I waited for the traffic lights to also turn red.
NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY
Wandering the city at night can bring a whole new
perspective to an environment you might be more
than familiar with by day.
Look for different ways in which darkness and artificial
lighting can cast a completely different feel over a
scene. Add some rain, (as in the shot filled with red
lights taken in Wellington’s Dixon Street), and you
could be anywhere in the world.
