WELCOME TO ISSUE 55 OF NZ PHOTOGRAPHER MAGAZINE HELLO EVERYONE, Amongst the chaos that Covid is still causing, many of you still recovering or stuck at home isolating, I hope you’ve been able to pick up your camera or at least sit in front of the computer enjoying some post-processing time. If not, I hope this issue will inspire you to pick up that camera or grab that mouse and create or take something new! We’re covering various genres in this issue, from travel photography to food photography, landscapes to street. In our feature interview, Sarah Smith of Soul DeLight Photography shares her journey of connecting with the natural world through representational and abstract landscapes. Teresa Angell takes us on a husky ride in Behind The Shot whilst Susan Blick recounts her trip to Lviv, Ukraine. Fairlie Atkinson teaches us about framing, a compositional technique that will take your photography to the next level, whilst Alan Blundell is sharing the art of street photography - how things like lens flare, silhouettes, and reflections can make an everyday street shot pop. The issue is rounded off with your stunning blue photos - we were inundated with submissions but have included as many images as possible. Please don't give up if we couldn’t feature yours; try again with your water photos for the next issue.
