MEET CHRIS MEYER:
INSIDE SALES
Chris Meyer, Senior Inside Salesman, for Sprenger Midwest
began his career in the building material business back in the
summer of 1998 working for his dad at the West Point Home
Center in West Point, NE.
He continued through high school and graduation from Dana College in Blair, NE in 2004 -
where he played baseball for 4 years. After college, Chris joined Sprenger Midwest and
moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where he has been a very valuable member of the sales and
marketing team ever since.
Anyone that has the pleasure of working with Chris knows that he has a passion for the
lumber business and taking care of his customers. His hard-working yet easy-going style,
coupled with his exceptional product knowledge and industry experience have made him a
person that his customers trust and depend on. When asked about what the favorite part of
his career with Sprenger Midwest has been so far, Chris said: “It’s the relationships I have
built over the years I wouldn’t trade for the world. It’s so fun bringing quality products to
quality people in our industry. Yes there are challenges along the way, but the daily
interactions with my loyal customers really has meant a lot to me over the years.” Chris has
customers all over the upper Midwest, with many being in his home state of Nebraska; and
they love their native son, rewarding him with the Nebraska Lumber Dealers Salesman of
the Year award in 2011.
For as busy as Chris is at work, he balances that out by being equally busy outside of the
office. He enjoys family time with wife Jodi, and daughter Cambrie (10) and her busy
gymnastics schedule, and son Karsten (7) and his busy sports schedule too. Jodi is a
counselor at Pettigrew Elementary in Sioux Falls where their kids go to school. Coaching is
a big part of Chris’ free time where he loves working with Cambrie’s softball teams as well
as Karsten’s baseball, basketball and football teams. He also continues to play amateur
baseball for the A’s of Colman, SD; and when not watching, coaching or playing ball, he and
his family spend time out in the Black Hills (SD) each year vacationing.
