COLLECTION OVERVIEW
The Vans Skateboarding + Daniel Johnston collection was inspired by
his iconic cassette tape artwork. In his early song- writing years,
Daniel would hand- draw individual cassette tapes and hand them out to
friends and strangers. The artwork on the shoes features a
checkerboard created from these cassettes as well as the same lo- fi,
gritty execution from Johnston’s iconic art. You will find these on a
Skate Sk8- Hi which is the marketed style as well as an Authentic and
Slip- On.
Also in our App&Acc collection lots of fine details can be found, such
as the Authentic Chino pant in the Loose Fit with artwork details, the
ryon shirt with printed artwork or the hoodie which is a 435 grams
French terry hoodie with brushed back, which makes it really premium
with a nice weight to it.
