MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

On 9 th May, 2021, on the observance of

Mother’s Day, the students of Class I showed a

small act in which, they explained that a mother is

the epitome of love, care, support, and the

biggest warrior. Ashmita Chhabra, a student of

Class VII C explained that it is the day of

celebration of motherhood and honouring

motherhood. She added that a mother is the pillar

and backbone of the family.


FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

The school celebrated Father’s Day on

20 th June,2021. To strengthen the bond between a

father and a child, students of Class III and

IV presented beautiful pictures along with their fathers.

They tried to make their superheroes feel special.

Yashika Gulati of Class VII B delivered a speech,

through which she emphasized that we should show

love and immense gratitude towards fathers for

providing us with a happy life and guiding us in life’s

path.


INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

On 15 th August, 2021, on the occasion of

Independence Day, Aarav Goel of Class IV

A presented a poem through which he

encouraged everyone to celebrate the

legacy and fortitude of our freedom fighters

and salute their supreme sacrifices.


RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATION

The school virtually celebrated Rakshabandhan on

22nd of August, 2021 with great fervour. The event

consisted of a mesmerizing dance performed by the tiny

tots of Class I in which the sisters tied the sacred bond

of love and affection on their brothers’ wrists and the

brothers vowed to protect their sisters. Prapti Kapoor of

Class VIII A, envisioned all with the history of

Rakshabandhan and apprised that it strengthens the

bond of love between brothers and sisters and revives

the emotional bonding.


JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami,

students of Class VI gave an exemplary

performance and mesmerized everyone. The

graceful expressions captivated the attention of

everyone. There was devotion, creativity, enjoyment

and fun altogether. The sole reason for celebrating

this festival was to bring people together and to make

30 th August, 2021 a day to spread the message of

love, peace, and harmony.


TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

On 5 th September, 2021, on the observance of

Teacher’s Day, the students of Class II extended

their gratitude through their speech and a poem, to

every teacher for becoming their lockdown mentors,

by supporting them throughout in the online classes.

Niyati Sharma, of VI A delivered a speech and

thanked all the teachers who have been working very

hard. She highlighted that the teachers spearhead

change by shaping and building students’

personality.


DUSSHERA CELEBRATION

On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, on

15 th October, 2021, Aarav Goel of Class IV A

delivered a speech in which he stated that this

festival is celebrated with enormous zeal and

enthusiasm throughout the country. He further

added that whenever there will be dominance

of malevolence, ‘Lord’ will reincarnate to

destroy the evil and save the good.


DIWALI CELEBRATION

Priyanshi Vassan of Class IX A delivered a speech

on 4 th November, 2021, on the auspicious occasion

of Diwali. She gave an insight into the significance of

the festival which is celebrated to commemorate the

victory of good over evil and knowledge over

ignorance. She sensitized students about the ill

effects of crackers and also shared the guidelines of

environment-friendly options for celebrating Diwali.


BHAI DOOJ CELEBRATION

On 6 th November, 2021, Chetanya Gupta of

Class X B delivered a speech on Bhai Dooj.

The speaker in his address highlighted that

the day symbolizes the bond of love between

a brother and sister. Celebrations also

included some of the beautiful performances

given by little munchkins of Class II, where

they all showcased the bond of love and

protection between siblings.


CHHATH PUJA CELEBRATION

Lavanya Aggarwal of Class VI A was given an

opportunity to deliver a speech on Chhath Puja,

on 10 th November, 2021. The speaker highlighted

in her address that Chhath Puja is a festival that is

celebrated in the states of Bihar and U.P. and

many other parts of India. She further explained

that the festival is observed with the faith that the

Sun God fulfills wishes if ‘araghya’ is offered with

complete dedication and devotion.


CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

A day marking childhood was celebrated virtually

with enthusiasm on 14 th November 2021 on the

joyful occasion of Children’s Day. A video

encapsulating affectionate messages by the entire

RKS family, was released for Ramakrishnanians.

Krish Sehgal of Class XI C, apprised the students

that along with being our first Prime Minister, Pandit

Jawahar Lal Nehru’s birthday, this day is a

reminder that every child deserves education,

nurturing and best of everything.


GURU NANAK JAYANTI CELEBRATION

Guru Nanak Jayanti, which marks the birth

anniversary of the first Sikh Guru, was

celebrated with great zeal on November

19 th , 2021. Smiti Priya, a student of class

XI A highlighted Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life,

teachings, philosophy and contribution to

society. The speaker listed out the

teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and urged

the students to follow his path.


CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

With the Christmas festive occasion all around, the

significance of the festival was explained to the

students through the Christmas story. The students

of Class I and II presented a dance performance in

their virtual classrooms delivering the message of

peace and harmony. Khushi Bhalla, a student of

Class V B, laid stress on the theme of Christmas –

the spirit of joy and merry-making, through her

speech.


LOHRI CELEBRATION

On January 13 th 2022, on the auspicious

occasion of Lohri, Chetanya Gupta of Class X B,

delivered a speech virtually, conveying the

importance of the festival. The speaker apprised

that Lohri is celebrated primarily by Sikhs and

Hindus and the festival marks the end of the

winter solstice and harvesting of the rabi crops.

He further added that people celebrate this festival

by spreading fun and laughter all around.


MAKAR SANKRANTI CELEBRATION

On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti on

14 th January, 2022, Keerat Kaur, student of Class X

C delivered a speech. She spoke that Makar

Sankranti is the first major festival of the year to be

celebrated in India which marks the end of winter.

The speaker concluded her speech saying that this

harvest festival is both a religious as well as an

essential observance and is dedicated to Lord

Surya,the Sun God.


REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

On the observance of Republic Day, on January

26 th , 2022, little tiny tots of Class I presented a

scintillating dance on some of the part

iotic songs. Pratha Anand, of Class X C, delivered a

speech. She highlighted the reason for celebrating

Republic Day and concluded her speech by urging

us to promise each other that we should become a

better version of ourselves to make our nation a

better place to live.


BASANT PANCHAMI CELEBRATION

Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School virtually

celebrated Basant Panchami on 5th February

2022. To commence the celebrations, Yukti Kharra,

a student of class V C, delivered a speech invoking

Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and

wisdom. Students of Class II sang hymns

and worshipped Goddess Saraswati to get

enlightened with knowledge and to get rid of

ignorance.


HOLI CELEBRATION

Srishti of Class VIII B , was given an opportunity

to deliver a speech on the auspicious occasion of

Holi on 19 th March , 2022. The speaker apprised,

that Holi being a festival of colours brings cheer to

our life and also focuses on brotherhood and unity.

In lieu of the vibrant festival, the students of Class

II presented a mesmerizing dance performance

teaching everyone to live a life of happiness,

forgetting sorrows and brightening the future.
