The aim of the project ALPPS (Alpine 

Public Procurement Services) is to 

assist companies in the transnational 

search and bidding for public 

contracts 


The project aims on a wise 

management of sediments on basis 

of experiences gained on national 

level to establish trans‐national 

guidelines taking into account the EU 

Water Framework Directive and 

spatial development needs to 

preserve existing reservoirs and to 

avoid uncontrolled exploitation by 

constructing new storage capacity. 

The ALPS Bio Cluster will establish a 

transnational cluster network in the 

biotech and medtech sector by 

involving actors from six Alpine 

regions in research, training and 

industry, especially small and 

medium‐sized companies, in order to 

boost joint economic development 

by reaching a critical mass of key 

players. The envisaged transnational 

cluster builds on strong regional 

cluster structures and will improve 

innovation capabilities and deepen

forests. The aim of the project was to 

protect important peat bogs areas

preparation and approval of a Natura 

2000 management plan.

The purpose of the project is 

preparation of programmes for 

interactive animation of visitors and 

installation of technical equipment. 

The core activities are the 

development of programmes for 

interactive animation of the visitors, 

primarily school children, technical 

supplies for the Small Information 

Centre, preparation of an exact plan 

and execution of activities for the 

main attraction of the Centre ‐ an 

observation dome with a view of 

Triglav, the construction and 

arragengment of a rock garden with 

certain TNP ecosystems and plants 

included in the Habitats Directive 

and with Natura 2000 information 

boards put up on the lawn by the 

building. 

Increasing numbers of tourists, 

changes in farming/cultivation 

techniques and global warming are 

expected to intensify soil erosion in 

the Alps. The aim of this project is 

the identification of causes of soil 

erosion in alpine environments 

as well as the mapping of risk areas.

Territorial promotion based on 

cultural heritage in the trasnational 

area alongside the ancient roman 

road Via Claudia Augusta. The 

project aim to define a common 

strategy and best practices for the 

promotion of this transnational 

territory; its most important aspect is 

to create a network among all the 

actors involved. 


It is based on the results of the VIA 

ALPINA project. 

The challenge is now to put the Via 

Alpina product into use in order to 

obtain concrete benefits in the 

Alpine regions 


The project aims to reduce car traffic 

(shift solo car trips) and at the same 

time to motivate the inhabitants for 

non‐motorised and sustainable 

modes of transport based on 

physical activities 


The main objective of the project is 

pondering on the traditional culture 

in order to bring to light those social, 

cultural and technical values that 

could be appreciated in a modern 

post‐industrial society.
