ICW-activ<strong>it</strong>ies<br />
The ICW has been active throughout <strong>the</strong> year 2008 in <strong>it</strong>s 13 local groups where members try to<br />
optimize <strong>the</strong> care of patients w<strong>it</strong>h chronic wounds in <strong>the</strong>ir region. Each group provides educational<br />
activ<strong>it</strong>ies for <strong>it</strong>s members and guests but <strong>the</strong> main purpose is <strong>the</strong> discussion of <strong>the</strong> everyday<br />
problems people w<strong>it</strong>h chronic wounds and caregivers meet in <strong>the</strong>ir practice.<br />
The ICW courses were held in more than 80 venues in <strong>all</strong> parts of Germany w<strong>it</strong>h 15 to 25 participants<br />
in each course. Those who passed <strong>the</strong> courses in previous years successfully are now engaged<br />
in continuing education in order to recertify <strong>the</strong>ir diploma after 5 years.<br />
Our last national congress proved extremely successful w<strong>it</strong>h more than 2000 participants,<br />
mostly registered nurses of <strong>all</strong> special<strong>it</strong>ies.<br />
The currently elected new board of ICW now plans <strong>the</strong> congress 2009 which will be held from<br />
9th to 19th May in Bremen – come and see!<br />
