WHY THE NAME?
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view ofGod’s
mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice,holy and

Our Discipleship
PROCESS
We first desire to Engage the:
Spiritually Dead (Non-Believer)
(Our first goal is to reach people who have
not yet accepted Christ as Lord and Savior.
They are “dead in their transgressions and
sins” according to Ephesians 2:1. The basic
needof a spiritually dead person is love,
relationship and support in their personal
challenges)
Our next step is to Equip the:
Spiritual Children (Disciplee)
(This stage of the discipleship process is
designed to help new believers begin to
deepenrelationships with other believers
as they deepen their relationship with
Christ. The basicneed of spiritual children is
connection and belonging)
Our final step is to Empower the:
Spiritual Parent (Discipler)
(This stage is designed to help mature
believers become disciple-makers who
feelempowered to lead others to Christ
and help them grow in their faith according
to 2Timothy 2:1-2. The basic need of
spiritual parents is peer accountability and
continualtraining)
Then we desire to Equip the:
Spiritual Infant’s (New Believer)
(Our second goal is to support the first steps new
believers must take to lay a solidfoundation for
further growth and maturity. While this stage is
for new believers, it canalso include people who
have been Christians for a long time but have not
maturebeyond infancy as 1 Peter 2:2-3. The basic
need of spiritual infants is quality time and attention
from more mature believers)
We then desire to Equip & Empower the:
Spiritual Young Adult/Adult (Disciplee)
(This stage is designed to help growing believers
become increasingly God-centered andotherfocused
in their faith by introducing opportunities
to serve and helping them seehow their skills and
experience can serve the Kingdom. The basic need
of spiritual young adult/adults is a place to learn how
to serve and a ministry mentor to coach them)
The Spiritual Parent starts the process over… (Matthew 28:19)

PATHWAY

Baptism
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward
decision you made to follow Christ. TWC wants
to make this celebration special for you and your
family.
Didn’t come prepared? No worries, we have it all
covered. We have everything that you need to be
baptized: T-shirts, shorts, socks, hair wraps, and a
bag for your essentials. As a parting gift, you get to
keep your baptism T-shirt to remember your special
decision and day. We encourage you to invite your
family and take lots of pictures/videos to capture
the moment.
Growth Track
This is a 4-week class to walk you step-by-step
through the ministry of TWC.
In 101, you will learn how to connect with our ministry.
In 201, you will discover your gifts and purpose. In 301,
you will learn how your unique gifts will help fulfill the
ministry of Christ and in 401, you get the opportunity
to get connected and serve others by using your Godgiven
gift(s).
Growth Track classes are available online. Sign up

Dream Team
After you have completed Growth Track you are
now ready to put your gifts to use and serve. We
believe the Dream Team is the lifeblood of TWC.
Without our volunteers, we would not be able
to accomplish the incredible things that God is
allowing us to do. Part of our game plan is to help
move people from sitting in the seats to finding
their purpose and gaining fulfillment by making a
difference in the lives of others.
Small Groups
Small Groups are the pulse of our ministry. It’s our
way of making our large church more intimate. We

Directory. It will allow you to find a Small Group
which is tailor made just for you. Can’t find what

At TWC, we believe that God’s plan for our life is
one that also includes His plan for our finances.
While the talk of money may be scary to some,
we understand that the more we learn about
God’s plan for your finances and how we can
honor Him with our money, the more freedom
and joy we will experience.
The word of God teaches that giving (more
specifically tithing) is an act of worship and
a way to show that we trust God with our
lives and our finances. - When we give, we are
reprioritizing our finances by remembering that
God is first – not us, and not what we have.
At TWC, there are 3 primary reasons we give...
• Giving demonstrates that we put God first as
shown in 1 Chronicles 29
• Giving helps us follow God’s example as
shown in John 3:16
• Giving redirects our heart. Every time we
willingly give a portion of our income back
to God, we are fighting a spiritual battle with
selfishness

Here’s how we give at TWC
Tithe and Offering
We believe in giving God our first fruits which
is 10% of our earnings. As a ministry, we not
only encourage tithing, but we also give
10% of what we receive to local non-profit
organizations. This is a biblical principal found
throughout scripture. The Bible also teaches us
that tithing was not created- for God’s benefit.
Instead, tithing is for our benefit because
sacrificing a portion of our income helps us
look outside ourselves and makes us more
aware of the needs of others.
In fact, one main purpose of tithing at TWC is
to support the ministry/outreach work we do
locally, nationally, and globally.
GO FOR IT! Capital Campaign
The Go For It Capital Campaign is TWC’s
response to God’s call to make a difference
in the world in which we live. This five-year
campaign will invest in the next generation
and change the trajectory of people’s lives
by providing education, better food choices,
housing, and financial assistance, in order to
provide our community and many people the
chance they deserve to have life and have
it more abundantly. This campaign, in many
ways, is our roadmap which leads to a better
tomorrow.

90-Day Tithing Challenge
Countless people experience God’s blessings when they tithe, but
often the first step is the hardest one to take. That is why if you
are not presently tithing, then we ask you to consider taking the
90-Day Tithing Challenge. It is a 90-day commitment to give God
the first 10% of your income. We know God will respond to your
obedience by fulfilling His promises. If He doesn’t hold true to His
promises, we will refund 100% of your tithe.

TWC Kids
TWC Kids is dedicated to partnering with
parents in order to lead children into a loving
relationship with God! Through age-specific
lessons, activities, and small groups, your
children (6 months old – 5th grade) learn
biblical truths and real-life application. We
are passionate about creating FUN, SAFE,
and ENGAGING environments where kids can
connect with their peers and a God who loves
them!
Fuzion Youth
Fuzion Youth offers a place for students
ages 6th through 12th grades to discover and
develop a relationship with Christ. We seek
to help students grow in their faith, and give
them the tools to share and defend it. It is our
goal to establish a firm foundation for success
in every area of a student’s life by promoting
education, exposure, and responsibility. Our
ministry seeks to give students a safe and
healthy place to hang out, meet new people,
and do life.
Einstein’s Playground
Einstein’s Playground is a leading child
development center for kids aged 6 weeks to
5 years. We provide a safe, nurturing, learning
environment for your child. At our school,
we recognize and respect the fact that every
child is a unique individual and strive to build a
home/school partnership to nurture the unique
interests and needs for your kid.
CDF Freedom School
CDF Freedom School is a summer reading
enrichment program offered at TWC designed
to help children who might otherwise not have
access to books to help curb summer learning
loss and close achievement gaps.

In life everyone will go through different stages.
No matter what you are walking through,
The Worship Center Christian Church’s Care
Ministry wants to encourage and help you on
your journey. Whether your needs are physical,
emotional, relational or financial, our desire is to
support and help you grow into a more abundant
life in Jesus Christ. If you would like to request
visitation, support or other ministry services,
TWCare is here for you!
TWCare is devoted to ensuring you are seen and
heard by The Worship Center community. We
exist to serve you. Whether your needs include
visitation, support, community outreach, or other
services, TWCare is here for you.

Visitation
When members are in need of hospital, nursing
home or bereavement visitation, submission
request may be made through the TWCare
site and a member of our Care Team will reach
out to share the love of God and coordinate an
appropriate time to visit.
Support
When facing life’s struggles and in need of
Prayer, Marriage or Grief counseling, or perhaps
in need of Financial Assistance, submit a
request as our TWCare Team is here for you.
Services
During difficult seasons of death, or times
of celebration with new life, marriage or the
purchase of a home or business, submit your
request to have a funeral, use our space for a
wedding. or have one of our ministers come
and offer a blessing over your new home or
business.
Community Outreach
Through TWC Serve Days, Outreach Small
Groups, disaster relief efforts, and our annual
Fall Fun Festival, we are making a difference in
the lives of others.

Every other Wednesday, from 6:30-8:30 pm at our Derby Campus,
join us as we will “see”, “learn”, and “do”. Masks will be required to
be worn at all times and temperature checks will be taken at the
door. Our large sanctuary will give us enough room to spread out

Breakthrough Prayer
Start your morning off with Breakthrough Prayer! Every morning at
7am CST, we invite you to join us. Hundreds have been gathering on
this call daily since March 2020. Call 775-799-9087 at 7am CST and
allow our ministers and prayer team to get your morning started
with a Word from above.
Kale Me Crazy
Now Owned & Operated by The Worship Center. TWC has always
believed in healthy living and now we have the ability to provide
healthy food options to help people live their best life. We invite you
to stop by our newest venture, Kale Me Crazy, in Homewood. Try
one of our cold pressed juices, smoothies, salads, açaí bowls, poke
bowls, or wraps. Chronic disease plagues our communities, but we
know one of the greatest ways to fight chronic illnesses is by eating
healthier.
