Vrikshasana
(Tree Pose)
This pose develops the brain, improves attention, stimulates
mental activity, and has a general strengthening effect on the
body. The pose tones the leg muscles well and develops a sense
of balance. It is mainly used to relax the muscles of the legs,
arms, and spine, as it involves maximum stretching. Refers to
balanced postures.
How to do it?
With a full breath, raise straight arms over your head through
the sides, palms down (for girls, palms up). Bring your palms
together over your head so that your biceps touch your ears.
Stretch your entire torso up, as if you are about to take off, but
do not rise on your toes. Stand that way until the first sign of
fatigue. Lower your hands through the sides, palms up (girls,
palms down).
