JOURNEYS FOR 2012. Our Escorted Rail Journeys are designed to offer travelers an exciting
vacation while all the daily activities are handled by an experienced escort. Train travel is a
wonderful way to relax and view the country and a great ecological way to visit National Parks.
Arrangements are made for all transportation and transfers, hotel accommodations, guided

SMALL GROUP TOURS offer exceptional quality and an unsurpassed experience. Maximum
capacity on any one tour ranges from 22-28 travelers, therefore, allowing you to see more, do
more, be more comfortable and enjoy more. We utilize mini-coaches and not large motorcoaches
for all tours. Mini-coaches are easier and faster to get on and off, luggage comes off faster and
most importantly, the smaller sized vehicles can go to more places, more conveniently. There is no
better way to travel in National Parks than on mini-coaches.
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS aboard the train are always included in your package,
even when traveling for just eight hours. This ensures privacy and added comfort to train travel.
All meals in the Dining car are included with Sleeping car accommodations.
MEALS are provided in some of the finest establishments in each destination keeping the
experience and value in mind. We try to utilize restaurants that offer flexibility so that entrees are
ordered from the full menu with NO dinner buffets. In many places, we dine where the locals dine
and that can be more enriching than a large restaurant in a “touristy” area.

OUR STAFF will take each individual’s needs into consideration as their primary responsibility.
Your escort will manage all travel arrangements including baggage handling and each day’s
activities to ensure your vacation runs smoothly. We hire local professional guides in each
destination to do all the touring narration.
THE HOTELS we choose balance luxury with value and location. In many National Parks, there
are no luxury accommodations, but we try to offer rooms with better views or lower floors for
travelers whom would struggle with stairs. We search for historical, upscale properties that in
many cases are an attraction themselves.

EXPERIENCE THE PARKS don’t just drive through them. If you love to take pictures and
want a more enriching experience, our escorted journeys will accomplish this effortlessly. For
example, while many operators drive into Yellowstone, spend one night or just drive through with
a stop at Old Faithful, we have three full days in the park. We go wildlife viewing, see all the falls
and major geyser basins, ride a stagecoach and best of all, we’ll do this inside a 13-passenger
vintage yellow bus. In Glacier, we see all sections of the park. In the Grand Canyon area, we will
take you to Lake Powell and Sedona plus travel aboard The Grand Canyon Railway to the South
Rim of the Canyon.
