Symphony in C will celebrate its 70th anniversary on Sun Apr 24 from 5 to9pm at Tavistock Country Club.The Symphony was founded as a community orchestra – the HaddonfieldSymphony – in 1952. Over time, its mission evolved into that of a trainingorchestra for young professionals and a comprehensive music educationorganization serving people of all ages throughout the region.Symphony in C performs at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts and othervenues, and contributes to the quality of life we enjoy in Greater South Jersey.The 70th Anniversary Gala will be chaired by Penny and Stephen E. Ryan ofMarlton and Rosie Hymerling of Haddonfield. Emcee will be former Haddonfieldmayor and Symphony in C board chair, Jack Tarditi.Guests will enjoy cocktails, gourmet dinner with wine, and entertainment bypianist David Zipse and the Elegance Electric String Quartet. Tavistock CountryClub’s Covid protocols in effect at the time of the event will be observed.The gala will honor Charles (Chuck) Heuisler and C. Carney (Chick) Savery,both of whom were instrumental in guiding the former Haddonfield Symphonyfrom community orchestra to the music education powerhouse it is today.The event will also remember former board chairs and Archer Law attorneysRobert R.
