On the Market
Lenten music
Each Monday thru Apr
11, organist Bob Gardner
will play at the First
Baptist Church for a half
hour from 5pm.
This is offered as an
opportunity for silent
prayer, meditation, and
relaxation during Lent.
All are welcome. Come
as you are. Stay for a few
minutes or for the full
session.
Jazz on Sunday
If you missed the recent concert by Al Harrison’s
Dixieland Jazz Band (at the Methodist Church on
Sun Feb 13), don’t despair. You can catch it in the
Tri-State Jazz Society’s YouTube channel, here:

Coming up: Mike Davis will return to town on Sun
Apr 10 at 2pm, with his New York City-based New
Wonders septet. The band vividly invokes the Jazz
Age of the 1920s, when jazz was the soundtrack for
dramatic national changes and played a central part
in people’s dreams, adventures, and romances.
