I am a beginner photographer who loves to be outdoors whether in the mountains or on the ocean. I can often be found with my camera searching lakes and estuaries for birds. My photography journey began with the encouragement of a dear friend and for that, I will be eternally grateful. @chingannette FEATHERED TREASURES When I was first introduced to photography, I didn’t know what I wanted to photograph or how to use my camera but I soon found myself photographing birds and got so much pleasure from it that this genre of photography is now my passion. I love being in, around, and on the water. I find it relaxing and calming, so I try to combine water and birds as often as I can. I always lose track of time, spending hours at a time watching their behaviours and their interaction with other birds. I also marvel at how far some birds have travelled to get here just to spend summer. At times, various birds have allowed me to sit close by and photograph them. These are very special moments that I treasure. I take the opportunity to do Pelagic trips as often as I can, on these I find photography to be challenging as everything is moving - the birds, the water, and the boat but it’s heaps of fun and the day is always over too quickly for me.
