3 A BROAD EDUCATION Becoming a pilot is not limited to learning to fly an aircraft. It is much more than that. A pilot thinks, acts, communicates and works in a particular way, and is constantly aware of risks and thinking ahead of any potential event that interferes with the planned actions. This is true in the air as well as on the ground. The aviation industry focuses on three words: knowledge, skills and attitude (KSA). As a flight training organization, our finest task is to make our students KSA aware, and we have developed a special programme and a special way of working, studying and thinking, which we believe affects our students efficiently and effectively so that they become KSA aware. Our programme is referred to as "The Circle of Success", because success is what you will get if you work and study true to the philosophy in the programme. 4 HIGHLY EXPIERENCED INSTRUCTORS GreyBird has been in business since 2013. In the relatively short time since 2013, GreyBird has become the largest and most successful pilot academy in our country of origin – Denmark, and thus we have expanded our operation to Sweden and Spain. GreyBird differs from traditional pilot academies in many ways. One of the very important ways is that we base our education on almost exclusively permanently hired full-time instructors. As opposed to having freelance instructors, which is commonly used in the industry, this choice ensures that the instructors you will learn from are as qualified as possible. They do nothing but fly for GreyBird, they are standardized and intensely trained under the supervision of GreyBird’s experienced Chief Flight Instructor (CFI). It makes a difference that your flying instructor flies as an instructor every day rather than as a freelancer a few times per month. GreyBird offers the most intense education on the market measured by the number of valuable hours in the air – and more importantly, by the planning of these hours. Our operational management plans and schedules your entire education. We make sure that there is a common thread and that you will only experience positive training. For that reason, GreyBird appeals to people who not only dream about flying, but who also want to be the best.
