engineering with emphasis on
industrial design, graphic design,
and drawing he emigrated to
the United States. Settling in Los
Angeles he began drawing and
working with acrylics inspired by his
favorite abstract artists
and colorists. He then
moved to Amsterdam
and Barcellona where
he continued his study
and work being close
to the original works
of master artists such
as Picasso, Van Gogh,
and Miro. He also was
able to see firsthand the
work of the architect
Antonio Goudy in Spain.
Moving back to L.A.
He received a great
response to his art from
the L.A. art community
and began selling in
various shows and
through galleries.
He was intrigued by art in the
desert and in 2004 made a
permanent move to Palm Springs
where he established his studio.
He has sold to private collectors
and to interior designers who find
his minimalist and colorful art ideal
for the mid-century decor for
which they are creating interiors.
Julio also started the Bazar Delar
business through which he sells
mid-century furniture and other
collectible objects along with
art for designers and the general
public.
Recently his art has evolved from
inspiration he received from a visit
to the anniversary of the Belin Wall
in Germany. He says this gave him
a new twist on graffiti modernism.
Julio’s art has become larger in
format with acrylic as the primary
