HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED
TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS
by Evin Ersan College Reporter, Boston University
Let’s face it. Working toward your goals
can be extremely difficult, especially if they’re
goals that take a significant amount of time
to accomplish. It can be very tempting to get
off task, forget about, or consciously abandon
your goals entirely. One of the biggest reasons
for this is due to a loss of motivation, and I
can say without a doubt that not only have I
had moments where I have struggled to find
motivation for a particular goal but also I have
known many others who have experienced the

continue to work for your goal will return.

Goal
Thinking about how great it would be to
achieve your goal and all of the wonderful
benefits you’ll receive by achieving it can greatly
increase your overall motivation and willingness
to continue to work toward it. Remember, every
goal you set will have a distinct benefit for you.
Never forget that.
3. Never Lose Sight of the Big Picture
Another reason people lose motivation is
that they lose sight of the big picture. It can be
very easy to become bogged down thinking
about all the work you have to do to reach your
goal, especially when some of that work may not
