Card – Printing
How many cards are in your wallet? Whether it’s for a membership to a gym or an ID badge for an office,
organizations, government agencies, schools and companies rely on card printer solutions to protect and
promote the unique characteristics that make people individuals, offering the ability to identify people, control
access or monitor production. We have a solution for you!
There are a few printing technologies to choose from such as:
Direct to card printing – This is the most common technology used by desktop card printer/encoders to
transfer images directly onto a plastic ID card. DTC technology prints images by heating a print ribbon beneath
a thermal printhead, resulting in the transfer of color from the ribbon to a blank card.
Reverse transfer printing – High Definition Printing gives you superior print quality, even on cards with
embedded electronics. This process works by having the ribbon and the print head meet with the HDP film
transferring a reverse image to the film. Once this is complete the card is brought in and meets with the film.
The printer heats to great temperatures adhering the film to the card producing a perfect over the edge print
and allowing a lifetime warrantee on the printhead.

Security Video Recorders
Digital Video Recorders and Network Video Recorders store security camera video. DVRs record analog security camera
video and NVRs record IP camera video. Today, many models are hybrids that record both analog and network camera
video.
Choosing a Recording System:
Many would argue that the security recorder is the most important component of a security system, as how to handle
video data is a strategy unto itself. Factory assembled recorders are ideal if you don’t want to install software. Software
NVRs are very popular as they are cost effective and camera licenses can be added as required. Many software NVRs
work with all major camera brands so you can mix and match makes and models. If a multi-server multi-location
surveillance system will need to be controlled from a central monitoring system then you will want to get trained to
become a certified reseller of a high level software system. Analytics such as people counting, trip-wire, and license plate
recognition are powerful add-ons that are now available with many recording systems.
Mixing Analog and IP:
Most new security installations are network based, and legacy analog security systems can also be upgraded to IP.
Enjoy the benefits of IP and utilize the original analog cameras and cabling infrastructure by adding analog cameras
onto the network using analog to network video encoders.
