Chris Silber grew up bilingually in
Berlin in the 70s and 80s and began
writing as a teenager – first as a
music journalist and for film and
television. In 2007 he moved to New
York, the hometown of his then-wife,
who died of cancer in California in
2013. Silber works on both sides of
the Atlantic as a writer and producer.
In Germany he has made a name for
himself primarily with his work on
screenplays for numerous films such
as “Goodbye, Lenin!” and “I’ll be gone
then!” and Tatort episodes. He is a
Grimme and Emmy Award winner
and lives in Atlanta with his family.
Annabelle von Sperber,
born in 1973, studied
illustration at the University
of Applied Sciences for
Design in Hamburg and
works very successfully as
a illustrator. She teaches
illustration at the Academy
for Illustration and Design
in Berlin (AID-Berlin)
and is responsible for the
illustration department at
the Faber Castell Academy.
Annabelle lives in the Black
Forest and in Berlin.
