In The Community
Ratoath RFC
is a young,
vibrant
club serving
the areas
of Ratoath,
Dunshaughlin,
Dunboyne and
surrounding
areas.
Since founding in 2004, over
1000 young people from the local
community have played in the
club, and there are more than
200 current players and dozens
of coaches and volunteers. The
club has strong links to the local
community and schools, and is
proud of the work which has
led to on-field success including
victories in the North East Area
McGee Cup and Leinster Dunne
Cup for its senior team.
The youth’s section has regularly won in
cups and shields in the North East and
Leinster divisions, and the club is well
represented in the Leinster development
squads competing in the Shane Horgan
Cup. Upwards of 70 minis boys and girls
under the age of 12 train and play each
weekend, and there is a real sense of
community and fun on Saturday mornings
when they train!
Ratoath RFC is very much a community
club. The club works with local community
activists and organisations, volunteering
to improve the life of its hinterland. It is
not uncommon to see minis and their
families organised into crews of litterpickers
along the Ratoath riverwalk or in
the village.
