TikTok Women’s
Six Nations
The Ireland Women’s team, under
new head coach Greg McWilliams
and newly appointed assistant
coach Niamh Briggs, will get
their 2022 campaign underway
against Wales on Saturday, 26
March, (KO 4.45pm) at the RDS in
Dublin, where almost 3,000 fans
supported the team during their
recent win over Japan.
Ireland will then travel to France for
round two on Saturday, 2 April, before
their second home game, against Italy,
is played at Musgrave Park on Sunday,
10 April (KO 5pm). The Cork venue has
been successfully hosting the Ireland
U-20s since 2019.
The penultimate weekend sees the
Ireland women travel to play England
on Sunday, 24 April (KO 12pm), before
the final home match of the 2022 Six
Nations, against Scotland, is staged at
Kingspan Stadium on Saturday, 30 April
(KO 8pm). This will be the first senior
international to be played at the Belfast
venue since the 2017 Women’s Rugby
World Cup final.
For the first time in its history, the
Women’s Six Nations will have a title
partner, with the championship set to
be known as the TikTok Women’s Six
Nations.
As a platform designed to bring fans
even closer to the action, TikTok will offer
new and existing rugby fans a window
into the women’s game, one of the
fastest growing areas of the sport. The
investment from TikTok will be felt by each
Union.
Whilst not limited to the women’s
game, this partnership will help each
Union continue to develop this area
of the game. In doing so, exposure
for the women’s game, engagement,
participation and major growth are all
ambitions of this partnership.
The 2022 championship will see all 15
matches broadcast on BBC in the UK,
RTÉ and Virgin Media in Ireland and Sky
Italia in Italy.
Six Nations CEO Ben Morel commented:

of the women’s game. We are delighted
to have enhanced broadcast partnerships
in place along with a continuation of the
dedicated window from which we saw
such success last year.
“These two key developments along with
continued investment in many other areas
including performance, commercial and
marketing will enhance the Women’s Six
Nations for fans and players alike.”
Ticket information for Ireland’s three
home games in Dublin, Cork, and Belfast
will be available on IrishRugby.ie.
