Ai-Wen Wu Kratz lives and works in the U.S. Her works are visual symphonies,
composed similarly to the way in which a composer creates music, with
equal focus and value on each visual element as an integral part of the
whole. Using acrylic paints on canvas, the artist meticulously applies lines,
colors, forms, shapes, and movements to create her abstract pieces. Her
work is concerned with the spiritual, intellectual, and the aesthetic. She
hopes her works bring joy, light, and relief to her viewers.

Korea’s four-season DMZ is a place to reflect. The natural world beyond
human reach is recovering. The hard times of pain are hidden. The people
living here on the Korean Peninsula put a veil on all the wounds the
war has inflicted. The long iron fence imposes its silence night and day.
Millions of longing people await echoes in the south and north. My first
interest in past paintings was recognizing history in the divided mountain
ranges of the Korean Peninsula. It was a reinterpretation of the divided
mountain ranges of South and North Korea from a satellite perspective. The current painting
production is also on the connecting line. When everything in this land is devastated by
war, there is nature, silently healing the wounds. So, my painting focuses on the joy,
anger, sorrow, happiness, of the people here, including myself. There is then a process of
purification of the mind, with, finally a musical epiphany. Utopia versus reality: This is how I
paint my own Su Muk(ink) play.

Eunha Shim (1972) was born in a city with full of greenery in southern
South Korea. Her artwork is based on the concept of nature as a part of
Genesis. Her first exhibition was held in Seoul in 2015. During the past six
years, she has communicated with the visitors more than 30 times and
has been presented with special awards several times. “Grass Meadow”
is her prominent theme, which is rooted in nature. Rather than the
colorful and attractive flowers, the mystery of the grassroots ecosystem spreads over the
field. The prosperity of nature manifests through the delicate touches filling up the canvas.
The series of artwork tell the theme of Recovery, Genesis, and Relation.

Harumi Miyatsuka was born in Tokyo, Japan. She cherishes the memories
of going on adventures as a child in her mother’s garden.
While exploring the wonders around her, she learned to take notice of
the beauty of nature and appreciate each moment.
She graduated from Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan, majoring in
oil painting. Following graduation, she worked as an Assistant Professor, and mostly painted
the human figure. Then, she moved to Los Angeles, CA, USA, and experienced modern
American art first-hand. She explored new mediums through sculpture for 3 years at the
Palos Verdes Art Center. Her works are mostly oil paintings and have evolved to express
a variety of emotional moments. She was selected to be among the 400 Japanese artists
featured in the 400th memorial issue of Art magazine. She had the honor of participating
as an artist in residence at mmm art in Medana, Slovenia, in China, and exhibitions across
Europe and Asia. She is a member of the UNESCO International Association of Art. Recently,
she has been examining the arrival of a «moment,» the encounter with a feeling in time
before it has fully developed. Life is a journey through these moments.

He is a poet. He is a visual poet.
He admit that he always tend to combine
the realism of black and white photography
with something more ephemeral.
A gesture, a glance, a color.
For to create visual poetry.
In his black and white portraits he always go for the magic moment when the soul emerge
through the eyes, and for that skill he has received a gold medal in an international photo

“A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art.”
Paul Cezanne
The sculptures of Hermien Buytendijk (Holland) strongly express her
imagination into ceramics. Dreams and wordplays are being built into
three dimensional layers by hand. Her human and animal figures are
created like mild mocking birds: self-irony is the basis according to Hermien. I try to capture
everyone’s personality including their follies and weaknesses. “The sculptures often express
my own doings“.
Having a keen sense of the absurd her “unica” often transcend reality, but still feel recognizable
and often deliver a smile.

Working as a sculptor gives Ilse Oelbers the opportunity to see things
in a different perspective. In her work integrity is a key word as well as
intimacy. There is lack of both in our today society in which opportunism
and fear seems more common than understanding. The central theme in
her work is therefore the human kind in its pure form. The beauty in people is hope, and gives
Oelbers the best inspiration to develop her work. The congealed motion in her sculptures
show the vulnerability of people and can be a recognition of what we miss in our daily lives.
Ilse Oelbers: “To look into the face of integrity is to look into the face of love”.

Marc Kennes is a former student of the Antwerp Academy and the
National Higher Institute.
The main feature of his work, is its uncompromised individuality. As a
painter and etcher he relies on a vast tradition. His profound knowledge
of painterly tradition and technique is a mere tool to create his own
world.
The work of Marc Kennes must be placed within the artistic and intellectual movements of
his time. He has created his own position with a recognizable style within the new figurative
painting. The art of Marc Kennes is about deep tensions between the darkest of shades
and the most sensitive light. For Marc Kennes, artistic quality is inextricably linked to
emotional sincerity and truth: a feeling for the non-homogeneous world.

Menno Vos was born and lives in the Netherlands. He got his start in art
travel photography. He studied the principles of composition and color,
and had his photos published in travel magazines. Menno’s paintings are
like his photographs, inspired by his travels. His inspiration is the people he
meets, the images he sees and the emotions that he feels while travelling.
He brings his understanding of composition and balance to each piece,
producing works full of rich, saturated color, a sense of depth and just a hint of the
mysterious.
Menno has exhibited in the Netherlands, the USA and several European city’s.

Theo Golb has a vast artistic background, having studied and has practiced
Fine Art, music, and theater, and worked as an art consultant, as a teacher
of arts, languages, and as a stage director of a College theater.
His style developed along a very long and complex path, ultimately taking
its current form at the beginning of the 21st century. His early passion
for architecture and music has become increasingly evident in his recent
works. The geometric logic of architecture and the polyphonic principles
of Bach music allow him to create abstract compositions of rare intensity, in which geometry
turns fluid, generating its own vibrant reality.
Last years, still looking for new ways of aesthetic expression, the artist explores digital
technologies. He creates acrylic compositions through the use of mixed techniques, including
digitally created motifs, patterns, and other visual components.
Theo Golb spent the first part of his life in Germany, Lithuania and Ukraine before settling
in Canada in 1992.
