(5) The radio sends the page request to the channel controller. The paged<br />

u. To alleviate problems in 25-kHz AC DAMA operation, the channel controller can<br />
send an information request code to request information (INFO Report, see Figure C-<br />
10). from the terminal operator. The terminal operator must respond to the request<br />
with an information report code to continue operation in DAMA. Perform the following<br />
procedure to send an information report code at any other time:<br />
(1) Press CALL to bring up SELECT REQUEST TYPE display.<br />
(2) Select INFO REPORT from menu and press ENT.<br />
(3) Enter the desired information report response code to send to the channel<br />
controller and press ENT. The radio sends the code to the channel controller.<br />
v. The 25-kHz DAMA has start-link test built into its frame format. Link testing<br />
determines suitability for data operations using more robust frame formats that support<br />
higher burst data rates. It does not reduce channel overhead allotted to supporting<br />
