amazing, now we’ve got a
massive play-off game coming
up and we’re very close to
getting to the World Cup
Having been in a great run of form for
Scotland just before you got injured,
what would it mean if you could score
the goals to nail down World Cup
qualification?
It would be a moment in my career
that’d stay with me forever, I think. I
wanted to play for Scotland to try and
become remembered by getting the
team back to major tournaments. Being
involved with the Euros last summer was
amazing, now we’ve got a massive playoff
game coming up and we’re very close
to getting to the World Cup. I think we do
deserve to be there with the players we
have. I really enjoy going away with the
Scotland boys, we’ve got a great bond
and togetherness that’s taken us to
where we are now and hopefully I can be
involved in taking us to the World Cup.
On the subject of tournaments later
this year, given your background – who
will you be cheering for at the Rugby
League World Cup? I believe Scotland
and Australia are in the same group…
I’ll be backing Scotland! It’ll be a tough
one because the Aussies are quite good,
but we’ll see what happens when that
comes around. Hopefully I’ll be in Qatar
watching the final on TV – that’d be nice!
