The alpine boutique hotel SEPP in Maria Alm was opened in September<br />
of <strong>20</strong>18 and it combines extraordinary architecture, design, and inventive<br />
events. Following the motto “together and right at the centre” different<br />
worlds meet here: old and new, tradition and zeitgeist, luxury and<br />
nonchalance. Breakfast is served in the attic until 1pm, micro events and<br />
themed weekends bring people together. During construction the<br />
modern part of the house was draped like a Christo work. On the drapery<br />
it said: “It’s gonna be exSEPPtional” which was a great way to get<br />
everyone excited. Today the brand Eder Collection encompasses<br />
hotel SEPP, hotel Eder, and Tom Almhütte<br />

We just wanted the place to be simple and personal. I studied<br />
architecure and the SEPP is one hundred percent my work –<br />
from balcony railing to underground parking, to the fittings<br />
in the showers which we have often recommended to others.<br />
There is a leather couch for 15 people in front of the fireplace<br />
which was custom-made for us by the leather pants maker<br />
Meindl.<br />

J.S. I’ve always been fascinated by swings, they’re such a<br />
childlike and simple element. Every grown-up likes to remember<br />
swings. The display windows in the hallways outside the<br />
guest rooms are intended for storing expensive bikes and presenting<br />
them at the same time. The same goes for skis, an expensive<br />
Bogner jacket, a soccer jersey or just a bra. It’s a way of<br />
making a statement and lending the room some personality<br />
instead of it just being a number. Our guests strike up conversations<br />
in the hallways. We always like to say that the SEPP is<br />
a hotel for adults and kids over 21. Work life is hard enough.<br />
There’s not need to have more of that while on holiday.<br />
