engl. / At the beginning the motivation was a<br />
need for change: “I was fed up with the way the<br />
coffee business worked”, says the man behind<br />
the freshly launched brand Da <strong>Salzburg</strong>er from<br />
Kaffeewerkstatt <strong>Salzburg</strong> in Saalfelden. He has<br />
been with a tradition-steeped coffee company<br />
for 24 years and its managing owner for ten<br />
which gave him plenty of insight into a global<br />
industry that is completely focused on profit<br />
optimisation and huge margins. “We simply<br />
refused to play along. We want to prove that<br />
you can be successful with honest solutions,<br />
too”, says Rafael Schärf.
