Welcome to the second issue of
teenLook. What a fantastic
launch of our premier issue
last month! I was so overwhelmed by the
encouragement and support. It is because
of all the hard work of the contributors
that makes this publication possible.
I'm so proud to feature the amazingly
talented photographers and models every
month, you guys rock!
I hope you all will join me in
this special celebration for the
beautiful country I call home.
Canada Day. Celebrating 152
years! I'm very proud to be a
Canadian.
I'm a firm believer that a physical print
copy of a magazine should never be
replaced by digital. (Although it is
convenient and much cheaper to be
working with digital today.) I have shot
on film for many years and love going
back through my binders reviewing
negatives and the prints that I made
15 years ago. No internet or batteries
required to enjoy those memories. The
same thing applies to this magazine. It's
something that can last nearly forever in
the right hands. To be enjoyed and shown
anywhere and anytime. Or at least that is
my mission, to create a book of memories
for the aspiring young talent we feature
here every month. I want you all to be
proud of your work. Be inspired by seeing
the work of others. Continue to grow and
expand your abilities every day. Also, to
connect with other talent and forge new
friendships and contacts.
This issue has an exceptional theme,
role models.
I had planned an Audrey Hepburn feature
for last month's issue, but decided to wait
until this month as I did have the photo
shoot with Talayna set up. I had been
searching a few months ago for a girl that
could emulate Audrey's look, and I hope
you will all agree that Talayna
definitely has it.
I am delighted to have her on
the cover this month!
I wanted the theme this
month to reflect who inspires
us and is a role model that
we look up to. While I myself
have many people I admire, I
would have to say that my role
model would be Jesus Christ.
The only perfect man to walk
on this earth.
Even though we can never
be perfect here on earth,
hopefully, we will try our best
every day to be.
As I have corresponded
with many moms and
models, I also have to share
my appreciation for how
much they give back to the
community and how much
effort is put in to make a difference in the
lives of others.
This month, Ayden Kosko is featured. She
was in last month's issue, and I hated not
being able to share her whole story. I hope
you will be encouraged by her work.
I also want to announce that I have
formed a friendship and working
partnership with Dara Eckel. She is
coming on board to help with marketing
and as assistant editor for the magazine. I
believe between us, some great things will
happen here at teenLook, so look forward
to seeing things to get even better!
Something else that I want to include is
the thoughts and words of the teens in
the modelling community. If you have
something to share or love to write, drop
a note to us and have the chance to also
have your writing published here in
teenLook.

Meet Addison, an 11 year-old model from
Bonnyville, Alberta.
Addy is a beautiful girl with brown hair and striking green
eyes. She is the 2nd oldest of 6 kids, and a great help with
her youngest brother Liam who is 4 and has autism. Being his
big sister has taught her compassion, patience and kindness.
Addy grew up in front of her mom’s camera and only recently
decided she wanted to try modelling. She hasn’t been doing it long
but she is really enjoying it and excited to keep building her portfolio.
When Addy isn’t hanging out with her friends you can find her
reading or drawing, as art is another of her major passions.

Meet Jordan. A 16 year-old model from Atlanta,
Georgia.
I got my start in modeling right before I turned 13 when I was
discovered in a pet store by a former model. Even at that young
age, I was pretty tall. Now, I’m 6’1 and looking forward to growing
in my modeling career. My dream is to walk the Victoria’s Secret
runway like Karlie Kloss.
Karlie is one of my biggest inspirations because of her fearless
attitude and confidence on the runway. She’s been modeling
since she was young too and has grown not only to be a top
model, but also as a mentor to young girls like me.
The camel in this shoot, Clyde, was very fun to shoot with. His
favorite snack is Oreos, which came in handy when trying to
get him to model with me. His personality reminded me of a
lot of horses I know since I am an equestrian. Riding horses
has been such a great passion of mine and I’ve made so many
new friends along the way. I’m so excited to be featured in this
magazine and I’m looking forward to the future ahead!

Meet Ola, a 12 year-old model. A Polish girl that
was born in Bristol, UK.
Ola has been daddy's personal model since she was a little girl,
she always enjoyed it. About two years ago she told her parents
that she would like to become a professional model, so they
started helping Ola to build her portfolio.
She modelled for many photo projects of her dad -
Kris Rzeszut at Je-Shoot Photography but also was modelling
for children's photographers like Magdalena Sienicka, Paulina
Duczman or Magdalena Berny.
Ola is very passionate about modelling, she is very natural and
confident in front of the camera, can work and pose well without
directions from the photographer.
Ola is a creative person, she has a passion for art - she loves
drawing and painting the most, she likes swimming, long walks,
trips to the beach, cooking and fashion.
Ola speaks Polish and English and learns Spanish too.
Ola's dream is to be able to move to New York one day and to
continue her modelling career there...

My pageant journey started almost two years ago when my former dance teacher took me
to my 1 st pageant in Edmonton. I instantly fell in love with the hair, makeup, and the outfits
showcased.
I decided to enter my first pageant, and it changed my life significantly. Before pageantry,
I was very shy and wouldn't try new things outside my comfort zone. I couldn't talk faceto-face
with more than a few people. Now, my confidence has increased by 130%. We
encourage each other to do our best, help with outfits/hair and then compete against
each other, as pageants create a small family unit, and we support each other.
During my competition in Toronto, I felt like I couldn't go on, and I didn't want to compete
anymore as I felt like I wasn't good enough. My mom told me no matter what I place, even
if it were 10'th, 5'th, or 1'st, she would still be happy and proud, and that I should do my best
no matter. So I went up on stage, showed who I truly was and did my best.
When my name got called for 1 st place, I felt incredibly empowered, and I wanted other
girls/women to experience the same feeling I had by being themselves and doing the best
they can.
When I returned home, a teacher got a hold of me and asked if I would come to her class
and speak to them about confidence and positivity.
I didn't even think twice about it; I said yes!

I am greatly excited to travel and
meet new people, as well I am grateful
to represent our amazing country
internationally. I am from a small Alberta
town, and representing my community
and being able to bring the national crown
back here is a fantastic feeling.
My platform focuses on brain injuries and
concussions. A year ago, I had a severe
concussion, which almost changed my life
forever. I had fallen and hit my head on
some concrete. I wasn't myself; I couldn't
remember much, I couldn't hear things next
to me, being around lots of people made
me over-react, and I couldn't handle much.
I didn't tell my parents for a week because
I was unsure of everything going on, and I
could've got treatment immediately.
I don't recall much during the two months
I had it, but what doctors and my parents
told me was that I wasn't even myself
and they were scared for me. My mom

I was confident and wanted to show girls that being who
you are is ok. I have talked at multiple schools to their
elementary girls about self-worth, power of positivity and
confidence. Most of all, to not let anyone tell you differently.
I love to be a role model for all people, especially young
girls. I want to help them believe in themselves and let them
know they can do whatever they put their mind to.
I have loved where my journey has taken me. Getting to
walk in New York Fashion Week, Mahistrado Fashions, Best
Of The Prairies Makeup and Hair Competition, Western
Canada Fashion Week, Ethnos Fashion Gala, Edmonton's
Natural Hair Show, and many more.
July 2019, I will be competing for the Miss Teen Universal
Petite title at the Universal Petite pageant Internationally.

he came to Lloydminster for a Young Living convention.
He is a specialist with concussions, so we travelled to
his clinic for a week and got daily treatment, up to 3-4
appointments every day. He could pinpoint exactly what
part of my brain was injured. Half of my body was reacting
slower and with less movement than the other half; lots
of small tasks and work brought me out of the phase, and
I luckily recovered. It was a very scary time for me! That
is why I have chosen this as my platform. It has affected
me personally, and I can relate to it, and I want to bring
education and awareness that recovery is possible, and
support is available. I want to bring awareness to this
cause, since it affects so, so many people. Over 1.5 million
Canadians suffer and live with the effects of brain injuries
and every 3.5 minutes a Canadian gets a concussion. I
have partnered up with L.A.B.I.S (Lloydminster & amp;
Area Brain Injury Society) to help out the members, bring
awareness, educate, and volunteer my time with them to

help out as much as I can. Just to have
someone sit and listen to them and interact in
conversations makes them happy.
Throughout the last two years, I have changed
my life greatly. 2 years ago; I wouldn't see
myself as who I am today. I want to inspire
people and girls to chase their dreams and do
something out of their comfort zone because
you never know what can happen or how
easily your whole life can change for the better.
By doing my best, by using my voice to bring
awareness to issues I believe need to be talked
about, and working with many charitable
organizations by volunteering my time and by
doing all I do to strive to be better, I can, and
will, make a change.

Meet Avery, a 13 year-old model from
Calgary, Alberta.
Avery was born and raised in Bonnyville and now lives
in Calgary. She has only just recently found a love for
modeling after attending Walk the talk program in
Edmonton where she discovered that she is comfortable
and feels natural in front of the camera.
She has an endless love for animals, enjoys listening
to music, specifically broadway musicals, dancing,
sketching, playing video games and watching her
favorite you tubers. She is witty, has an amazing sense
of humor, kind hearted and is never afraid to be her true,
authentic self!
When asked who her role model is, without hesitation,
she said her sister, Brielle. Avery has always looked up to
her and appreciates how blessed she is to have her big
sister always looking out for her and giving her the best
advice.
"Brielle has always understood me when no else could
and has helped me to be who I am today. She is the
bravest, strongest, most kind hearted person I know.
She has been through so much and continues to stay
so positive and full of hope for the future I am beyond
proud to be her sister and hope we can grow closer as

Meet Sophia, a 14 year-old model from Red Deer,
Alberta.
The idea of modeling had always been at the back of my mind,
but I had never actually applied until I came across The Numa
Network when I was 13 years old. I used to be a timid person,
but modeling was the one thing that helped me with my selfconfidence
and made me realize that there is nothing to be shy
of. Numa has been incredibly supportive of my development,
and I am really thankful they put their trust in my hands.
In addition to modeling, I love spending my time with family &
friends, acting, singing, cooking, and traveling. I take up any
opportunity to explore- I love adventuring and touring to learn
and see more about our beautiful planet! I would consider
myself a very hard-working and driven person… I strive to work
really hard and achieve success academically and artistically in
anything I commit to! I absolutely can't wait to see what comes
next in this crazy adventure.
My role model is Bethany Hamilton. Bethany was a teenage
pro-surfer. At the age of 13, a shark bit off her left arm, and
Bethany had to restart from the bottom. After working hard to
continue pursuing her dream, she eventually got back into the
water and overcame her situation. Bethany Hamilton is who I
look up to because she inspires others and proves that anything
is possible- even when you have one of the biggest obstacles to
face.

I
am a portrait photographer based in
Seattle, Washington. Growing up I
was always drawn to the arts. I spent
years playing piano and violin and filled
most of my free time trying every crazy
DIY project I could find on Youtube. In
High School, my dream was to become a
professional violinist, so I practiced hard

happened in my life
in hopes of getting into one of the best
music schools in the northwest. Soon after
starting College, that dream died and I was
lost on what I wanted to do with my life.
It wasn’t until just 2 years ago that I found
a new passion for photography. It hasn’t
been long since I’ve picked up a camera for
the first time but looking back, it’s crazy
how much I have experienced and learned
in such a short amount of time. What
inspires me the most are the people around
me who share the same love and passion
for photography. Everyone has a different
view of this world and a unique way of
expressing their art, and seeing that fuels
my creativity and motivates me to work
harder. Photography is probably the best
thing that has ever happened in my life.

Meet Dana, a 16 year-old model from Seattle,
Washington.
As a little girl I was always drawn to fashion, it was something
that I really loved! And, as I got older I got more and more
interested with the modeling industry; I attended my first
big fashion week casting in Seattle and that’s when I
decided modeling was what I wanted too truly pursue. I
then attended some workshops in Seattle to enhance my
modeling knowledge, skills for runway/photoshoots etc.
Then, my dreams were answered I was scouted by an Agency-
Hannah Noelle Models. It was a dream come true. I would
have never been able to pursue my passion without the loving
support of my wonderful family. Today, I do several test shoots,
build my portfolio for my agency, & constantly get offers to
collaborate with many brands. I’m blessed to have gotten
accepted into LA FW (TME event). I truly can’t wait for my comp
cards & what the future holds, I’m so incredibly blessed and
humbled with all these amazing experiences I’ve been given.
As for my role model, it would have to be Kelsey Merritt as she was
the first Filipina too ever walk for Victoria Secret’s runway show,
she’s extremely kind and uses her platform to inspire others to
follow their dreams. Another model that inspires me is, Lily-Rose
Depp. She’s a petite model who continues to stay humble despite
all her success in the industry. I also really love the her personality.
It’s astonishing to see the modeling industry constantly
evolving & more petite models emerging into the industry.

Alexa is a 13 year-old model/actress from a small town
in Saskatchewan. She is a French immersion student
at the top of her class and enjoys spending time with
her twin sister Sarah, also a model/actor, along with
other family and friends. Alexa is a fierce competitive
volleyball player, in both beach and court leagues. She
is always looking for a new and exciting challenge.
When asked to name her role model, Alexa named Victoria
Garrick. Victoria is a USC D1 competitive volleyball athlete,
and has been featured on Ted Talk and has spoken up
about mental health and eating disorders in athletes.
Victoria is Alexa’s role model because she is an
amazing volleyball player who never gives up. She is
very open to talking about topics most people would
feel uncomfortable talking about, and that makes
Alexa feel that Victoria is very brave and courageous.

Sarah is from Saskatchewan, represented by Edge Agency.
Sarah is a 13 year-old model and actress who loves to bake
and hang out with her friends and twin sister Alexa! Sarah
is a level 6 competitive gymnast who trains 20 hours in the
gym each week. Sarah looks up to all-around Olympic
gold medalist, Simone Biles for her skills, her amazing
dedication to the sport, and she is simply a fantastic
person! Simone Biles has been doing gymnastics for 16
years and does not plan on stopping anytime soon! Sarah
hopes to make it far in both gymnastics and modelling
and is very passionate about pursuing what she loves.

Almost three months ago,
I reached out to Talayna
via Facebook. I had just
stumbled across a post she made, and
I immediately knew she would be the
perfect model for an Audrey Hepburn
inspired shoot I had been hoping
to do. Ironically, this was before the
idea of creating teenLook was even
formed. We chatted and made plans
for a shoot in the near future. It was
when I was putting together the
magazine that I learned of her tragic
illness that took her life twice. (You
can read about that incredible story
in last month's issue.)
Here we are mid-June to shoot, and
the original inspiration has led to
a full article on Audrey's life and
contribution and sacrifices she made
to make this world a better place. It's
funny how things happen, even when
you think you have a plan prepared, it
evolves and becomes something even
more fabulous!
Meeting Talayna's mom, Brandi
Ekelund and learning about just how
much these two do together as a
team in pursuit of Talayna's dreams
and desire to help others, left me
speechless. Even just meeting them
for the first time the day of the shoot,
I could instantly see how dedicated
both of them are to the events,
charities and being a role model in
the community.
Audrey was one of a kind, and I know
my words or pictures could never do
her life justice. But I hope they will
shine some small light on who she
was and what she did with the short
time she was given here on earth.

Role model - noun -
A role model is a person whose behavior, example, or success is or can be
emulated by others, especially younger people.
There have been many people that have shaped the fashion industry over the years,
but no other name evokes the charm, class and style in the industry more than Audrey
Hepburn. She was effortlessly cool, and her tomboyish style set her apart from the rest.
Right from the start of her career, she was noticed and sought after by photographers
and filmmakers alike.
Life today can be pretty comfortable with all the technology and resources we enjoy every day. Smart devices, phones,
tablets all connecting us to the world in seconds. Imagine living in 1940. Radio was mostly the only form of news and
entertainment for most people. Homes heated by coal. Most of us have never gone hungry and never seen the horrors
that come with living through a war. A completely different way of life that most of us could never imagine. Life in
1940 during good times would have been exceptional, but during wartime, it was very hard. Audrey was a teenager
during World War 2, and even though she experienced famine, pain and suffering, and the heartache of losing loved
ones and more, she held on to her will to bear through the desperate times and live. She never forgot those times, and
one must imagine these memories haunted her all through her life. This is evident by her final mission in life to help
the starving and desperate children by being an ambassador for them.
Distant sounds of shell
explosions and gunfire
broke the early morning
silence of May 10, 1940. At home in
a small upstairs apartment in the
town of Arnhem,

whispers to her
daughter,
"Audrey, wake
up now and keep
quiet."
11-year old Audrey Hepburn-
Ruston opens her eyes, rubbing the
sleep from them as she knows the
reason for this early wake-up call.
She quickly and silently slips out
of bed. The news on the radio had
spread word that the invading Nazi-
German army would be arriving
in the city. In the early light of the
dawn, indeed, German troops were
marching through her hometown.
Audrey makes her way across the
cold wooden floors of her bedroom,
and as any curious child would do,
she peeks through the slight gap in
the drawn curtains. Looking down
from her third-floor bedroom
window, she gasps at the sight of
German troops marching in the

The invasion

thing that
Audrey's mother had anticipated.
She had moved her family back to
the Netherlands from England in
hopes of keeping her family out of
the conflict when Britain declared
war on Germany in 1939.
At first, the invaders hit Holland
hard and mercilessly, expecting
Holland to fall within the first day,
but the Dutch army held firm for
five days. The Dutch government
finally accepted Hitler's terms of
surrender. The invaders became
occupiers, and many German forces

took up residence across all of
Holland.
Audrey's mother, Ella, was a
socialite and did have many
ties with high German society.
At first, she changed Audrey's
English sounding name to Edda
van Heemstra to protect her, but
as things became more relaxed,
she allowed Audrey to use her
given name.
Thus, in the beginning, life for
young Audrey and her two half
brothers, Alexander and Ian went
on with little interruption.
"Life for a child was just that, a
life of a child.", Audrey reminisces
later on after the war.
During this time, Audrey went to
school and continued her training
for ballet. She had first started
her training in England and
was in love with dance. For her,
dance was her life and passion
that allowed her to become less
introverted and come out of her
shell, so to speak. She trained
under Winja Marova, who
praised Audrey for her posture,

As time went on and the war
intensified, Germany began
suffering a shortage of resources
due to its ever-expanding reach
and substantial damage from
the attacking allied armies; the
need for Holland's resources to
resupply German troops became
ever-increasing. Food and
supplies were rationed, and with
that came the beginning of the
end for the hopes of a peaceful
occupation.
During this time, the ruthlessness
of Hitler's regime became more
evident. Over 100,000 Dutch
Jews were forcibly arrested and
removed from their homes,
being forced into labour in the
work camps and factories, along
with many young men and able
workers. This including her
beloved half-brother Ian, taken
to work in a German factory.
Her other brother, Alexander,
had gone into hiding long before
this. With the change of life and
the grievous treatment of the
innocent people all around her,
Ella van Heemstra knew life
would change, and she would do
anything to keep herself and her
children safe.
Life became harder and harder as
food and supplies became more
and more scarce, and as each
winter neared; facing coal rations,
some could only heat one room
of their home. Still, young Audrey
kept up her dance lessons, giving
secret performances referred to
as "black performances" as they
would be at night with the window
curtains drawn with no one
making a sound. Money would be
collected to help support and raise
the spirits of the Dutch Resistance.
With hope on the horizon
by way of the allied counter
offensive referred to as
"Operation Garden Market"
the Dutch people rejoiced
as they saw paratroopers
by the thousands being
dropped near Arnhem. Sadly,
the offensive was poorly planned
and failed miserably. Audrey and
her family had to leave Arnhem
and went to nearby Velp to live.
Most of their time was spent in
the cellar of the home to protect
themselves from the continuous
fighting around them. Also during
this time the Dutch railway
workers, authorized by the Dutch
government in London, went on
strike to aid the Allied assault.
Consequences of these actions
saw food transportation also being
halted, as well as other supplies
desperately needed, and in the
following winter, known as the
Hunger Winter, more than twenty
thousand Dutch citizens starved to
death.
One of the most devastating
moments during this time of
war, was when the German army
rounded up her uncle Otto, a
distinguished judge in the area,
along with other high-ranking
members. They were held as
hostages to ensure that the Dutch
resistance would not strike out at
the German occupiers in fear of
retribution by way of killing the
hostages. Unfortunately, the time
did come that sabotage to a bridge
had occurred and no one came
forward to claim responsibility
when demanded to do so. Otto
and five others were then taken

out and executed in a remote area.
Audrey's father had abandoned
the family when she was six years
old, making Otto a father figure in
young Audrey's life, the loss was
heartbreaking for her.
All through the wartime, Audrey
used her love for dance to endure
these hardships. She still found
the strength to give private lessons
when she could.
Finally, as the citizens had reached
the end of their hope, allied forces
did reach Velp and relieved the
family and the rest of the town. It
was the Canadian Second infantry
division forces that helped in
liberating Velp. Audrey and many
others were very malnourished and
suffering from the effects of the
hardships faced. Having just turned
16 years old, Audrey weighed a
mere 88 lbs. After suffering through
five terrible years and enormous
loss, her spirit remained unbroken.
She overcame it all and picked her
life back up where she left off before
the war. Her two brothers returned
unharmed, and she and her family
moved to Amsterdam and Audrey
continued with her formal ballet
training. Upon receiving a ballet
scholarship from Ballet Rambert,
Audrey then moved back to
London. It was at this time she
removed her surname Ruston to be
just known as Audrey Hepburn.
Even with her incredible talent
and grace, Audrey's dreams to be a
prima ballerina were unattainable
due to her late start of formal
training and her size. At five foot
seven inches, she was well over four
inches taller than the other girls she
studied with at the ballet school.
Never to give up, and desperately
needing to earn a living, she used
her talent and grace that came from
years of dance training, to work
on a chorus line and pursue her
dreams. She modelled part-time
and was a freelance actor.
On a film set for 'Monte Carlo
Baby' famed French writer, Collette
noticed Audrey and she was cast in
the title role for her play, Gigi. This
role led to Audrey being discovered
by film executive William Wyler
in 1953, who cast her for her first
motion picture in "Roman Holiday"
At the age of 24, her role as Princess
Ann won her an Oscar for best
actress.
Audrey's boyish looks and thin
frame were the complete opposite
of what was the ideal starlet of the
1950s. She was very self-conscious
of "her big feet, long neck and ears
that stuck out."
Most likely because of this,
the average girl could identify
themselves more easily with
her appealing physical features
compared to the sultry sirens of
the time. Her rise to stardom was
so sudden, and it even surprised
Audrey herself. Her influence on
the fashion industry was prominent
when French designer, Huber
de Givenchy, being hired by the
studio to dress her for "Sabrina" in
1954, and he went on to make her
his muse, creating styles just for
her and dressing her for many of
her films. It seemed that fashion
became an intricate part of her
films, and by wearing them on
screen, influencing many brands.
She even had her very own original
perfume created just for her,
"L'Interdit," which was exclusive
to her until it was released sixteen
years later to the public.
Later in life, in 1989 she became
a Goodwill Ambassador for the
United Nations Children's Fund or
UNICEF. Her traumatic experiences
during the war as a teenager was
an experience that never left her.
Her years of hunger contributed
to her compassion and care for the
hungry children she fought for as an
ambassador. She dedicated twelve
years of her life to the cause.
Audrey gave up her film career for
the sake of raising a family and then
once her children had grown, she
gave the rest of her life for the needy
children of the world.
Sadly, in 1992, after returning home
from Somalia, Audrey received
a diagnosis of a rare form of
abdominal cancer. It had already
spread, and treatment came too late.
At the age of 63, she passed away
on the evening of January 20, 1993.
Audrey Hepburn died in her sleep
at home in Tolochenaz, Vaud.

Hepburn Ferrer and Luca Andrea

15 people who are an
EGOT, which means that
she won at least one of all
of the four major American
entertainment awards:
Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and
Tony.
She also received the
Presidential Medal of
Freedom in recognition of
her work for UNICEF.

Krzysztof Rzeszut is a Polish
photographer living in the
UK, specializing in natural
light portrait photography. My
first camera was a Russian Zenit
film camera which was given to
me by my uncle when I was a kid,
but I didn't really understand the
settings or anything about the
light back then. I liked the camera,
as it was a beautiful item and the
leather bag that camera was in
smelled like something magical...
and it still does after all these years.
About 10 years ago I bought my
first digital camera and started
learning about photography. I've
always liked beautiful images and
I wanted to create such images.
In the beginning, most of my
pictures were landscapes, but
soon I realized that what really
interested me was to photograph
people. At first, it was images of
my daughter, then I got out of
my comfort zone and started
photographing other people. I
like simplicity in photography
where less is more. I'm not trying
to impress anyone with fancy
setups just want to capture pure
and genuine emotions; so that
their true story would be told. If
one day someone were to look
at the picture of the person I
photographed and say, "this is
really him" - then the piece of me
will live forever in that picture, in
the moment that I've captured.

Meet Molly, an 11 year-old dancer from California.
Molly started dancing when she was 3 with just one ballet class.
By the next year, she had added jazz and tap. then she quickly
added hip hop, acro, lyrical and this year contemporary. Lyrical
is her favourite style of dance.
She was 7 years old when she joined her studio's competition
team and has loved every second of it!
Molly really looks up to two students at her studio, the first is Nikki
because her technique is so amazing. The second person she
looks up to is her duo partner Olivia because she can perform
like no other. Molly really is inspired by them and loves dancing
with both of them. Molly has always enjoyed having her picture
taken, but she has recently started taking dance pictures and
has found a new love!! Taking pictures and dancing at the same
time it just can’t get any better.
Molly hopes one day to become a professional dancer, a dance
teacher, or a model when she gets older.
Her favourite quote is “To watch us dance is to hear our hearts
speak.” That quote speaks so much to her since she has always
had speech problems growing up she loves that with dance she
doesn’t have to speak she can tell a story through dance.

Maiah
Rose Wiens
Meet Maiah, a 16 year-old model from
Lloydminister, AB.
CANADA
Maiah was born in Saskatoon, but has lived in Lloydminster,
AB for 10 years now. From the ages of 7-11 she did gymnastics,
but then decided to try dance and quickly was put into the
Advanced Company Program at Fame Dance Studios. She
lives and breathes dance and loves performing on the stage!
She is also an assistant teacher to the younger dancers. She
has performed in so many competitions in both Canada and
the US and won many awards, but a special one was winning
Gold for her Improv Solo at Nationals in Quebec last summer.
She also loves the musical theatre stage and performed in the
Grease Musical her high school put on last winter. She also
choreographed it and the musical they did the previous year.
Last summer, she got signed to Flair Talent Agency and this past
winter took the WTT course. Through this course, she became
interested in modelling and has done some runway shows,
and some photo shoots. One highlight was getting to walk the
runway in Western Canadian Fashion Week this past spring.
Maiah’s first modelling gig was for Madame Nadine Jewelry,
based out of Cold Lake. Her jewelry has been featured in both
the pre Cannes, Emmy’s and Golden Globes DPA gifting suites.
Her role model is her dance teacher Sarah. She is so
encouraging and pushes her to work hard and achieve her
best. She also admires people like MLK and Rosa Parks who
fought for human rights even when it was a hard thing to do.

Meet Brielle, a 16 year-old model from Calgary.
Brielle was born and raised in Bonnyville, Alberta and recently moved
to Calgary. She is in the Performing Visual Arts program at Central
Memorial high school in Calgary, Alberta.
Brielle has had a lifelong passion for musical theatre, singing, acting
dance and modelling as well as playing piano and the ukelele. She
recently had the opportunity to play a supporting role in an upcoming
full-length movie! She had such an amazing experience and cannot
wait to do more!
She is strong in character, braver than most, has an infectious, bubbly
personality and is a true fighter as she has had to overcome many
health issues these past few years. Her passion for life, adventure, and
just being personal, kind and accepting to everyone is contagious.
She also aspires to be a nurse, particularly in the mental health field.
When asked who her role model is she responded with this...”Someone
who made a positive difference in my life would definitely be my mother.
Some qualities and aspects I admire would have to be how loving,
outgoing and weird she is. She isn’t afraid to look stupid in public but
manages to make everything so much fun everyone wants to be around
her. She isn’t just my mom, she’s my best friend, and usually a teenager
would be embarrassed to admit this, but she makes everything so much
fun it’s hard to take anything seriously with her around.
She doesn’t just make the best out of every situation, but she also brings
out the best in anyone who spends enough time with her.

Meet Linnea, a 14 year-old model from Calgary,
Alberta.
I was a competitive gymnast at a high level for 5 years but had
to quit because of the injuries I had taken on. So now I enjoy
waterskiing, surfing and of course, my passion for modelling.
I live by a quote my father who is a two time Olympian and a
World Cup champion in down ski racing one told me, “If you get
knocked down, you must get up again” and that is exactly what
I am doing. I look up to my father, Cary Mullen, as he inspires
me every day to work hard and chase after my dreams with
110% effort. We were all made with hunger inside us to survive,
but now we can use that hunger and ambition to work hard and
succeed at what we want most.

Sophia's Skin Care Regime:

First things first: consistency is
key! Choosing to only follow
your skin care routine a few
nights per week won't help
your skin very much. However,
if you are cleansing your face
and using a moisturizer every
day, your skin will look and
feel so much better within a
couple of weeks. You may be
thinking that this is obvious,
but you'd be surprised how
many people put skin at the
bottom of their priority list.

I wouldn't affect me- I felt that I might
have just been a 'lucky one' who never
gets a zit in their whole life. When I was
around 13, I realized that most things
on our bodies could be replacedbut
the skin is the one thing that you
only have one of, which is why it's so
important you take care of it! Over
time, I started taking much better care
of my skin, and also learned a few
tricks. Now, I've never been happier
with my skin. Some of the methods I
learned changed my health, as well
as my outlook on myself and my selfesteem!
Not taking care of your skin is just as
bad as eating poorly. I think most of
us don't realize it, but we have control
over our skin… well at least for the
most part.
Every morning before anything
else, I use a clean, soft
face cloth to cleanse and remove
anything extra from my
face using Neutrogena's ultra
gentle daily cleanser. After, I
like using Neutrogena's daily
moisturizer all over the face to
avoid dry/flaky skin.
Once a week, I apply Mary
Kay's Charcoal face mask
to cleanse my skin and help
clogged pores. It also reduces
oil and shine, which is super
healthy and a nice treat for
your skin.

Sophia's Beauty Tips:
-When it comes to skincare, less is
more!
You may be surprised, although using
too many products on your skin can
lead to dry and sensitive skin. I would
recommend cleansing, moisturizing,
and using a mask- for teenagers unless
consulted by a dermatologist, that's
about it!
-Drink tons of water!
Water is like magic for your skin. The
more water you drink, the clearer and
healthier your skin will look! I find carrying
around a water bottle helps me to
drink more often. If water is too plain for
you, try adding something healthy to
give it a different taste! I have a bottle
from Chapters which has a specific
compartment to add fruits. Some of
my favourite fruits to diffuse into water
are raspberries, cranberries, and mint
leaves. I also find this to be a healthier
alternative to sugary powders.
Find skin care products that are right
for you!
It's essential that to use skin care products
made for your skin type- whether
your skin tends to be dry, oily, normal,
etc…, using a product for oil control
when you have dry skin can result in
breakouts. Just be sure by asking a professional.
Keep anything that will come in contact
with your face clean!
Whether that is your hands, face cloth,
makeup brushes, or beauty applicators,
you want to ensure you aren't adding
bacteria to your face- as that is what
can cause breakouts and acne scars.
Wear SPF 365 days a year!
This fact is usually the one that
shocks a few people- even though
in the winter we can't necessarily see
or feel the sun very clearly and it's
freezing outside, the sun is still there,
and it can have the same effect on
you than it would during summer.
SPF is vital to avoid dry or flaky red
skin. teenLOOK

Meet Ebhoney. A 14 year-old model from
Manchester, England
I love all animals and do not like to see them suffer. I have
four pets-two dogs and two cats. My hobbies include being
outdoors, camping, gymnastics, and travelling to different
countries. I hope to see as many different cities as possible,
in my lifetime. Cheerleading is a sport I compete in at a
National level with my school. Being near the sea on hot
sunny days is my favourite thing. I enjoy Art & Design too.
My modelling journey began in March 2019. This was when I
had my first ever photo shoot. A moment I had waited my whole
life for!
Family and friends had commented on how photogenic I was
and how I should try modelling. Since that first photo shoot,
things are looking positive, and I have made friends with models
of all ages from across the world.
I feel so privileged to be part of an exciting industry. The
support I have received has been truly amazing, and I
hope to gain as much as possible from this experience.
My parents inspire me first and foremost because, without their
support and guidance, I would not be who I am today. On a
creative level, I am inspired by Ariana Grande. I would love a
wardrobe of clothes based on her style, and I am hoping that I
will meet her one day.

Domini
USA
Ava Domini is a 16 year-old
American singer-songwriter and
guitarist residing in sunny southern
California.
As a young musician with a
smooth acoustic vibe, her soulful
r&b sound make her tunes catchy
and unique; the kind of music that
has you wanting to sing along.
Very active in the local music
community, you can usually find
Ava playing live on the weekends
at various popular Los Angeles
and Orange County venues such
as The House of Blues. In addition
to her performing, Ava is often
booked for private parties, special
events and charitable fundraisers.
Currently, Ava is in the studio with
Producer, Micheal Binikos and
slated to drop new music mid 2019.
Ava just released a song called
UGLY in hopes to highlight the
meaning behind the song which is
empowering teenagers to not take
how they feel as fact and to understand
feelings are temporary.
The lyrics are very powerful and speak to the often silent beliefs
teens can have about themselves despite how loved and
supported they are by family and friends. She says, "Sometimes
your head tells you lies and feels like it's out to get you. I just

Ava’s journey began at The OC Hit
Factory in Tustin, California at the age
of 9, which enabled her to work with
Founder/Producer, Thomas Barsoe.
This led her to write and release her
debut song “Put Me On The Shelf”
at age 13. Her musical resume spans
from television to stadium with credits
from “South Park”, as well as a soloist
performing the National Anthem
at both The Staples Center for the LA
Lakers and Dodger Stadium for the LA
Dodgers.
For Ava, music is woven into her DNA
and since she can remember she has
always been drawn to communicating
through song. Whether in the studio
or at home she is always singing
and thoroughly enjoys writing and
collaborating with other artists to
create soul-filled original music. Ava
has many musical influences such
as Hall and Oates, The Beatles, Bill
Withers, Daniel Caesar, Taylor Swift,
and Ed Sheeran.
Ava's fan base is fast growing and she would love to take
you with her on her musical journey. You can find her on

Meet Macey, a 17-year-old girl from the small
town of Lashburn, SK
Macey is signed with Flair Talent Agency. She has had a passion
for dancing since the age of 2 and hasn’t stopped since. Her
love for modelling sparked at age 14 when she had her very first
photo shoot with Warne Noyce. She is a natural in front of the
camera and can rock a runway like nobody’s business. Growing
up in a small town she has faced the struggle of getting out
there and getting noticed, but when she became a member
of the model community in Edmonton, she sure made a mark.
Macey is one of the faces of Lia Reese Canada, a cosmetic
line created by Jess Tetu, this was such an honour as Macey’s
face appeared at the Emmy’s and in a magazine! She loves
meeting new people and could not be more grateful for all of
the friendships modelling has brought her.
My role model and inspiration is my mom Amanda, not just
because she’s my mother and my best friend. She is hard
working and dedicated but also never fails to make others smile.
She has taught me to never give up and enjoy the rollercoaster
on the way to success. If it wasn’t for my mom I wouldn’t be
where I am today, my whole life she has motivated me to be as
kind, genuine, and caring as her. I will be happy if I end up half
the person she is because she has the most likeable personality
anyone could imagine. If you ever get a chance to meet my
mom… lucky you!

Jaiden
Johnson
USA
Meet Jaiden Johnson, a 15 year-old model from
Illinois, USA
I'm a Model, Cheerleader, an Honor Roll Student & I play the
Flute in Marching Band & Concert Band. I Love to keep busy &
work hard. I just added being a Caddy this summer at a local
Golf Course. I also Love to spend time with my friends and just
hang out. I plan to continue my Dream of Modeling & hope to
model in New York, LA & abroad someday. I also want to walk
the runway in New York Fashion Week & Costal Fashion Week in
the future.
My friend Alyssa inspires me. Three years ago Alyssa went to
the hospital with strept and mono. After complications at the
hospital she was diagnosed with global anorexic brain injury.
Alyssa has overcome things the Doctors said she would never
do. I am inspired and amazed at Alyssa's strength to continue
to improve. She doesn't realize this due to her brain injury but
she gives me the strength to push harder in everything I do. She
is not only my friend but my inspiration.
