TLWA CUPPA TEA & COFFEE CONNEXION<br />

“Meeting for coffee,” tea or brunch has been a long-standing<br />

tradition in <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> for building connections across<br />

the community. We meet from 10 AM-Noon every other<br />

Thursday either at a resident’s home or the newly renovated<br />

TWIN LAKES MONDAY GAME NIGHT<br />

The <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> Clubhouse will be available to any <strong>Twin</strong><br />

<strong>Lakes</strong> residents every Monday from 7 to 9 PM for an evening<br />

of Social Games. You and your spouse/significant other are<br />

welcome to join us in playing Fun Bridge, Mexican Train,<br />

Uno…or any other fun game that you and a group of adult<br />

friends would like to play. We bring drinks and appetizers to<br />

Open House signs are allowed:<br />

• On community property.<br />

• Only the minimum required to direct buyers to homesite with<br />

maximum number allowed 5.<br />

• Can be placed immediately prior to the Open House Opening<br />

time and must be immediately removed after Open House -<br />

Maximum 3 hours.<br />

• Must be placed firmly and neatly in the ground.<br />

• Signs only no flags, balloons or banners.<br />

received complaints of drivers rushing past the guardhouse<br />

when the expected speed is 5 mph when passing through the<br />

entrance.<br />

check-in before proceeding into the neighborhood.<br />

RULES: COMMUNITY FACILITY: TENNIS COURTS<br />

GENERAL RULES<br />

1. Tennis Courts are to be used by <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> Residents and their<br />

invited and accompanied guests only.<br />

2. Use of these facilities by any Unaccompanied Guest and Non-<br />

Residents is strictly prohibited.<br />

3. One resident is required to be present and accompany the use<br />

of each court.<br />

4. Tennis courts are for tennis only. Backboard is for use with<br />

tennis balls only.<br />

5. Residents may reserve one court for no more than two hours.<br />

6. Instruction and ball machines are only permitted on Court 3.<br />

Courts 1 and 2 cannot be reserved for instruction. A maximum of 6<br />

players are allowed on the instruction court at one time.<br />

7. Court 3 is available for individual play and may be reserved by<br />

residents of <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong>.<br />

8. Do not make reservations that you will not honor. A reservation<br />

will be considered forfeited if not occupied within 10 minutes of<br />

the reserved time. In consideration of other players, please remove<br />

your reservation as soon as possible if you do not intend to play.<br />

9. Unreserved courts are available on a first-come, first serve basis.<br />

10. Signup sheets will be posed each Saturday at 10 AM for play<br />

the following Sunday through Saturday. A family may only make<br />

up to 3 reservations per week in advance. Reservations must<br />

include the family surname.<br />

11. A tennis instructor is considered guest of the resident who<br />

is scheduling the lesson. Each tennis instructor must have<br />

authorization from <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> Homeowners Association, Inc (the<br />

“Association”) prior to use of the tennis facilities for conducting<br />

instruction sessions. (Each instructor is required to contact the<br />

onsite security staff at 713-466-1629). Each instructor is required<br />

to sign an instructor agreement promulgated by the Association<br />

and must sign in with the guard before each instruction session<br />

and must provide the surname of the resident that they are<br />

providing instruction to.<br />

12. Tennis court play and/or instruction should terminate and<br />

lights should be turned off by 10 PM.<br />

13. Trash and discarded balls should be collected and properly<br />

disposed of prior to leaving the tennis courts.<br />

RESERVATION RULES: INDIVIDUAL PLAY<br />

1. Each resident family is allowed a maximum of 3 reservations<br />

per week in advance.<br />

2. Reservations must include the family surname.<br />

3. A court may be reserved up to 2 hours at a time.<br />

4. A court reservations will be considered/deemed forfeited if<br />

players show up more than 10 minutes late.<br />

5. Court 3, which is the only court designated for instruction, is<br />

also available for individual play and may be reserved by residents<br />

of <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> Subivision.<br />

RESERVATION RULES: FOR INSTRUCTION<br />

1. Only <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> residents are permitted to use the courts and<br />

make court reservations. Instructors are not permitted to make<br />

reservations under any circumstances.<br />

2. Reservations must include the surname of the resident and the<br />

name of the instructor.<br />

3. Court Reservations for instruction is restricted to 1 hour<br />

(60 minutes).<br />

4. Only court 3 may be reserved for instruction.<br />

5. It is the responsibility of the host resident to ensure that<br />

their instructor has required Association authorization to<br />

provide instruction at Court 3 and has signed the required<br />

Tennis Instruction Agreement and Instruction Rules before<br />

commencing any instruction session.<br />

TWIN LAKES ONLINE DIRECTORY<br />

We no longer have a printed Neighborhood Directory, so<br />

please sign up to be in our Online Directory, which is a part of<br />

the <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> website.<br />

To have access, one must register as follows:<br />

• Call Crest Management at 281-579-0761 for the registration<br />

code - ask for the Manager or Assistant for <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong>. If you<br />

get voicemail, you should get a call back within 24 hours. A<br />

quicker method of communication may be by email - dale@<br />

crest-management.com.<br />

• Go to www.twinlakeshouston.com and click on the<br />

“Register” link.<br />

• Complete the online Registration form. Every question does<br />

not need to be answered.<br />

The registration code is required at the bottom of this form.<br />

Click on Submit.<br />

• Your registration must be approved by an administrator.<br />

After approval (normally within 24 hours), an email will<br />

be sent to you with your username. Then create your own<br />

password using guidelines from the email, including clicking<br />

on the link provided. Note: Be sure to save your username<br />

and password.<br />

• You may then log into the website by clicking on the “Login”<br />

link.<br />

• The Resident Directory and other password-protected<br />

pages can be found under the Residents’ link on the website’s<br />

menu.<br />

• After your initial registration, you can update your profile by<br />

logging into the website and clicking on “Your Profile.”<br />

1. If you have not registered, please do so.<br />

2. If you have already registered, you can update your profile<br />

AFTER logging into the website by clicking on “Your Profile.”<br />

3. If you see names in the Resident Directory of those who<br />

no longer live in <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> (perhaps neighbors who have<br />

moved), please email Joyce Evans at jetevans@comcast.<br />

net and she will remove those names from the website’s<br />

directory.<br />

The next meeting for the Harris County MUD No. 255 Board<br />

of Directors is to be held on Thursday, <strong>January</strong> 13, 2021<br />

TWIN LAKES TRASH GUIDELINES<br />

Section 4. Trash and Rubbish Removal - No trash, rubbish,<br />

garbage, manure or debris of any kind shall be kept or allowed<br />

to remain on any lot. The Owner of each Lot shall remove such<br />

prohibited matter from his lot at regular intervals at his expense<br />

and prior to such removal all such prohibited matter shall be<br />

placed in sanitary refuse containers with tight fitting lids in an area<br />

adequately screened by planting or fencing so as not to be seen<br />

from the neighboring Lots. Reasonable amounts of construction<br />

materials and equipment may be stored upon a Lot for reasonable<br />

periods of time during the construction of improvements thereon.<br />

Do you get that let down feeling in <strong>January</strong> once all<br />

the decorations come down? My favorite part of the<br />

holiday season is the lights and my husband teases<br />

that YEAR ROUND I would have the inside of our<br />

house looking like the Griswald’s outdoors if he let<br />

me. (He is probably right, lol.)<br />

So my compromise is that I get Mason jars, mayo or<br />

pickle jars or even some vases and I use the battery<br />

operated string lights to make “normal” decorations.<br />

In one, along with the lights, I have the glass beads<br />

you can get at the dollar store in many colors; in<br />

another I have seashells we got in Galveston. I am<br />

sure you can find something that would match your<br />

own home and style to place in these.<br />

So if you are like me and just need that pick-me-up<br />

of some bright twinkling lights once the decorations<br />

are all down, make one or more of these and have<br />
