TLWA CUPPA TEA & COFFEE CONNEXION
“Meeting for coffee,” tea or brunch has been a long-standing
tradition in Twin Lakes for building connections across
the community. We meet from 10 AM-Noon every other
Thursday either at a resident’s home or the newly renovated

TWIN LAKES MONDAY GAME NIGHT
The Twin Lakes Clubhouse will be available to any Twin
Lakes residents every Monday from 7 to 9 PM for an evening
of Social Games. You and your spouse/significant other are
welcome to join us in playing Fun Bridge, Mexican Train,
Uno…or any other fun game that you and a group of adult
friends would like to play. We bring drinks and appetizers to
share.

RULES FOR REAL ESTATE
OPEN HOUSE SIGNS IN TWIN LAKES
Open House signs are allowed:
• On community property.
• Only the minimum required to direct buyers to homesite with
maximum number allowed 5.
• Can be placed immediately prior to the Open House Opening
time and must be immediately removed after Open House -
Maximum 3 hours.
• Must be placed firmly and neatly in the ground.
• Signs only no flags, balloons or banners.
• Signs must be smaller than 2’x2.’

In an effort to ensure the safety of our residents, their visitors,
our guards and the security of our community, the Twin
Lakes Board of Directors is asking everyone entering the
neighborhood to be mindful of their speed limits. We have
received complaints of drivers rushing past the guardhouse
when the expected speed is 5 mph when passing through the
entrance.
Please also remind your visitors to stop at the guardhouse for
check-in before proceeding into the neighborhood.

Leash laws apply to both cats and dogs. Please abide by the
leash laws and leash your cat or dog.

TWIN LAKES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC
RULES: COMMUNITY FACILITY: TENNIS COURTS
GENERAL RULES
1. Tennis Courts are to be used by Twin Lakes Residents and their
invited and accompanied guests only.
2. Use of these facilities by any Unaccompanied Guest and Non-
Residents is strictly prohibited.
3. One resident is required to be present and accompany the use
of each court.
4. Tennis courts are for tennis only. Backboard is for use with
tennis balls only.
5. Residents may reserve one court for no more than two hours.
6. Instruction and ball machines are only permitted on Court 3.
Courts 1 and 2 cannot be reserved for instruction. A maximum of 6
players are allowed on the instruction court at one time.
7. Court 3 is available for individual play and may be reserved by
residents of Twin Lakes.
8. Do not make reservations that you will not honor. A reservation
will be considered forfeited if not occupied within 10 minutes of
the reserved time. In consideration of other players, please remove
your reservation as soon as possible if you do not intend to play.
9. Unreserved courts are available on a first-come, first serve basis.
10. Signup sheets will be posed each Saturday at 10 AM for play
the following Sunday through Saturday. A family may only make
up to 3 reservations per week in advance. Reservations must
include the family surname.
11. A tennis instructor is considered guest of the resident who
is scheduling the lesson. Each tennis instructor must have
authorization from Twin Lakes Homeowners Association, Inc (the
“Association”) prior to use of the tennis facilities for conducting
instruction sessions. (Each instructor is required to contact the
onsite security staff at 713-466-1629). Each instructor is required
to sign an instructor agreement promulgated by the Association
and must sign in with the guard before each instruction session
and must provide the surname of the resident that they are
providing instruction to.
12. Tennis court play and/or instruction should terminate and
lights should be turned off by 10 PM.
13. Trash and discarded balls should be collected and properly
disposed of prior to leaving the tennis courts.
RESERVATION RULES: INDIVIDUAL PLAY
1. Each resident family is allowed a maximum of 3 reservations
per week in advance.
2. Reservations must include the family surname.
3. A court may be reserved up to 2 hours at a time.
4. A court reservations will be considered/deemed forfeited if
players show up more than 10 minutes late.
5. Court 3, which is the only court designated for instruction, is
also available for individual play and may be reserved by residents
of Twin Lakes Subivision.
RESERVATION RULES: FOR INSTRUCTION
1. Only Twin Lakes residents are permitted to use the courts and
make court reservations. Instructors are not permitted to make
reservations under any circumstances.
2. Reservations must include the surname of the resident and the
name of the instructor.
3. Court Reservations for instruction is restricted to 1 hour
(60 minutes).
4. Only court 3 may be reserved for instruction.
5. It is the responsibility of the host resident to ensure that
their instructor has required Association authorization to
provide instruction at Court 3 and has signed the required
Tennis Instruction Agreement and Instruction Rules before
commencing any instruction session.
REGISTER FOR THE
TWIN LAKES ONLINE DIRECTORY
We no longer have a printed Neighborhood Directory, so
please sign up to be in our Online Directory, which is a part of
the Twin Lakes website.
To have access, one must register as follows:
• Call Crest Management at 281-579-0761 for the registration
code - ask for the Manager or Assistant for Twin Lakes. If you
get voicemail, you should get a call back within 24 hours. A
quicker method of communication may be by email - dale@
crest-management.com.
• Go to www.twinlakeshouston.com and click on the
“Register” link.
• Complete the online Registration form. Every question does
not need to be answered.
The registration code is required at the bottom of this form.
Click on Submit.
• Your registration must be approved by an administrator.
After approval (normally within 24 hours), an email will
be sent to you with your username. Then create your own
password using guidelines from the email, including clicking
on the link provided. Note: Be sure to save your username
and password.
• You may then log into the website by clicking on the “Login”
link.
• The Resident Directory and other password-protected
pages can be found under the Residents’ link on the website’s
menu.
• After your initial registration, you can update your profile by
logging into the website and clicking on “Your Profile.”
LET’S TRY TO UPDATE THE RESIDENT DIRECTORY:
1. If you have not registered, please do so.
2. If you have already registered, you can update your profile
AFTER logging into the website by clicking on “Your Profile.”
3. If you see names in the Resident Directory of those who
no longer live in Twin Lakes (perhaps neighbors who have
moved), please email Joyce Evans at jetevans@comcast.
net and she will remove those names from the website’s
directory.
HARRIS COUNTY MUD NO. 255
The next meeting for the Harris County MUD No. 255 Board
of Directors is to be held on Thursday, January 13, 2021
beginning at 12 Noon at the offices of Smith, Murdaugh, Little
& Bonham, L.L.P. located at 2727 Allen Parkway, Suite 1100,

TWIN LAKES TRASH GUIDELINES
Section 4. Trash and Rubbish Removal - No trash, rubbish,
garbage, manure or debris of any kind shall be kept or allowed
to remain on any lot. The Owner of each Lot shall remove such
prohibited matter from his lot at regular intervals at his expense
and prior to such removal all such prohibited matter shall be
placed in sanitary refuse containers with tight fitting lids in an area
adequately screened by planting or fencing so as not to be seen
from the neighboring Lots. Reasonable amounts of construction
materials and equipment may be stored upon a Lot for reasonable
periods of time during the construction of improvements thereon.

I will live through this day only. I will not brood about yesterday
or obsess about tomorrow. I will not set far-reaching
goals or try to overcome all of my problems at once.
I know that I can do something for 24 hours that would
overwhelm me if I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

I will be happy. I will not dwell on thoughts that
depress me. If my mind fills with clouds, I will
chase them away and fill it with sunshine.

Do you get that let down feeling in January once all
the decorations come down? My favorite part of the
holiday season is the lights and my husband teases
that YEAR ROUND I would have the inside of our
house looking like the Griswald’s outdoors if he let
me. (He is probably right, lol.)
Happy New Year!
So my compromise is that I get Mason jars, mayo or
pickle jars or even some vases and I use the battery
operated string lights to make “normal” decorations.
In one, along with the lights, I have the glass beads
you can get at the dollar store in many colors; in
another I have seashells we got in Galveston. I am
sure you can find something that would match your
own home and style to place in these.
So if you are like me and just need that pick-me-up
of some bright twinkling lights once the decorations
are all down, make one or more of these and have
