EDITOR’S LETTER<br />
I am absolutely in love<br />
with nostalgia and<br />
the past. When I was<br />
young, a hundred years<br />
seemed like an eternity,<br />
now, looking back one<br />
hundred years is not so<br />
far out of reach. Mostly because so much of what we take for granted today was<br />
given shape and form in the past century. The liberation of a world that had finally<br />
put the Great War behind them left every avenue to grow and prosper and usher in<br />
a more modern era. So many ideas and the inspiration for industrial advancements<br />
made the possibilities endless.<br />
This special issue of <strong>teenLook</strong> pays homage to this great era, The Roaring Twenties,<br />
or as it was known in Paris, ‘Années Folles’ - The Crazy Years! It was a great time<br />
when artists, writers and designers of fashion explored the freedom to create and<br />
collaborate. With the events we are facing in this decade we have just started, we<br />
might refer to this time as The Crazy Years too! Hopefully, our instinct for love and<br />
goodwill towards each other will prevail. May we seek our time to be the best we<br />
possibly can be at every step we take.<br />
And with that being said, we are here to celebrate the models and photographers<br />
featured in this issue!<br />
I apologise for the delay of this issue. I do this on my own, and time for me has<br />
become much more limited for my work on it here. Thank you all for your continued<br />
support & patience. I will be enlisting the help of passionate and energetic teens and<br />
parents to give me a hand. See page 86 for more details.<br />
Don’t worry. <strong>teenLook</strong> is still going strong! With your help and support it will continue<br />
to be even stonger. Keep sending in your submissions for the December issue and<br />
I do hope you will enjoy the <strong>Fall</strong> Issue of <strong>teenLook</strong>, as much as I enjoyed putting it<br />
together.<br />
