ClearPath IX Systems Installation and Configuration Guide ClearPath IX Systems Installation and Configuration Guide
Installation Checklists and Tips If SPO Console is already installed, the site can use the temporary key provided in Appendix C to enable the SPO interface that allows management of the ClearPath IX server. To enable control of a ClearPath IX server from an existing SPO Console server, the site must • Migrate to SPO Console level 4.3 or higher (must be at that level to manage a ClearPath IX server). • Customize existing SPO Console configurations to add host representations for the ClearPath IX nodes. • Modify existing Autoaction Message System (AMS) databases to add ClearPath IX server automation logic and to ensure that it does not conflict with existing automation logic. • Copy and install agent files to enable communication with the Windows 2000, Windows NT, and UnixWare nodes (see Section 10). Other SPO Console installation instructions are contained in the following documents: • Single Point Operations Installation Guide • Single Point Operations Administration and Configuration Guide • Single Point Interface Software Installation and Configuration Guide Integration of an existing SPO Console server with the ClearPath IX server is the responsibility of the site, or is a purchased service available from Unisys. Sites migrating to this release from a previous release should refer to the ClearPath HMP IX and 2200 Systems Software Planning and Migration Overview for more information about migrating their existing SPO server. 2.5.
