2200 Node Software Installation
14. Install the basic OS 2200 IOE software on the 2200 node as described in Section 13.
Verifying Interconnect Communications and Achieving Hardware RFU
15. Follow the instructions in Section 14 for running the PING test to verify
communications among nodes of the system. Once the PING test is finished, the
hardware is considered ready for use (RFU). The CSR turns the ClearPath IX server
over to the site.
Installing the Remaining IOE
16. After the customer service representative (CSR) turns the ClearPath IX server over to
the site, site personnel may install the remaining Integrated Operating Environment
(IOE) software as described in Section 15:
Customizing the Site
• Products on fast-load tapes HMP-OE2 and HMP-UDS3
• Repository Workstation (formerly known as Unisys Repository Manager (UREP)
Workstation)
• Programmer’s Workbench for ClearPath OS 2200 (formerly known as Open
Application Development Environment (OADE) for Windows)
• TeamQuest Online
• Remaining UnixWare IOE products:
− Open/OLTP Pathway
− Transaction Integrator (formerly known as WebTx)
17. After installing the remaining IOE, the site may customize the installation as described
in Section 16:
Note: If you plan to use SPO Console to monitor the ClearPath IX system, refer to
Appendix C for licensing information.
• Use Integration Expert (formerly known as PathMate) to configure other software
or to create and populate the IX Network Identity Repository.
• Install optional OS 2200 software from package tapes.
• Customize SPO Console configurations with site-specific names.
• Edit the contents of the SPO Console configuration file to permanently change the
default configuration.
• Test TCP/IP communications.
• Administer users, accounts, and groups using SysAdmin.
• Install optional UnixWare software products (if applicable).
• Repartition the UnixWare node.
