Appendix B Communication Settings Specific to ClearPath IX This appendix describes ClearPath Enterprise Server IX specific communication settings including • Internal FDDI Interconnet IP addresses used by server components, depending on the server configuration (Table B–1). These addresses cannot be used otherwise by customer sites. • TSAM configuration values (Table B–2). • Sample default contents of a hosts file (/etc/hosts) (Example B–1). Caution Integration Expert configuration assistants define the values in Table B–1 by default. ClearPath does not function properly if those values are not used. Note: Other predefined IP addresses and host names also are used, in addition to those listed in Table B–1, whenever a ClearPath IX server is configured as a private network without connection to a public network (see 2.4.2).
