Customizing the Site
is the unique name for this configuration statement in the CMS 1100 configuration.
community-name
is the name used for this SNMP community by both the SNMP agent and the SNMP
managers.
ip-address-n
the Internet address or addresses allowed to have write access to the repository.
For detailed information about configuring CMS 1100, refer to the CMS 1100 Installation
and Configuration Guide.
Note: Because Integration Expert asks you to identify the 2200 node with which a
generated configuration is to be used, CMS 1100 configuration file names
should match the name of the ODB partitions with which they are to be used.
Also, batch runstreams should be named accordingly to prevent an operator
from starting the wrong runstream and thus using the wrong CMS 1100
configuration.
16.3.2. Preparing to Access the IX Network Identity Repository:
IXNAGX
Before the repository can be accessed, the IX Network Identify Agent (IXNAGX) must be
installed and running on the 2200 node as follows:
• IXNAGX is included in SNMP-AGX2200 and is installed when that product is installed
from the fast-load tape during basic OS 2200 IOE installation.
• You must start the IXNAGX background run using the ST IXNAGX command.
16.3.3. Updating the ClearPath HMP IX Network Identity
Repository
To update the Network Identity Repository, follow these steps:
1. Start the Integration Expert RepoMan tool.
2. Initiate access to the HMP IX Network Identity Repository (MIB).
a. Enter the SNMP Community name; use the Community name with write privileges
defined in the CMS 1100 configuration.
b. Enter the Host name; this is the OS 2200 host where the repository resides.
3. Supply the quantity of each type of node that exists in the ClearPath HMP IX server.
After the solicitation, the utility adds skeletal node entries to the repository, which you
can edit and save.
4. Update the node entries (or Console entries contained within node entries) by
selecting Edit Selected Object from the Edit menu, or double-click the icon that
represents the selected entry. Supply values for fields on the form using the Help
command button if you need help. Save entries when the form is complete.
