Section 15 Installing the Remaining IOE Software Following hardware ready for use (RFU), the customer service representative (CSR) turns the ClearPath IX server over to the site. Site personnel may then install the remaining Integrated Operating Environment (IOE) software from the fast-load tapes, as described in this section, and customize the site to their requirements as described in Section 16. Note: Not all of the ClearPath IOE products are present on the fast-load tapes. For detailed information about fast-load tape contents, refer to the ClearPath HMP IX Series and 2200 Series Software Planning and Migration Overview. 15.1. Remaining IOE Products The products listed in this subsection are not normally installed by the CSR; they are the responsibility of client personnel at the site. These software products may now be installed: • Products on fast-load tapes HMP-OE2 and HMP-UDS3 (15.2) • Integration Expert for ClearPath IX Series (15.3) 15.2. Installing Default UDS Application Group 3 from Fast-Load Tapes Fast-load tape HMP-OE2 and fast-load tape HMP-UDS3 are provided to allow you to rapidly install a default UDS application group 3. Contents of these tapes are as follows: • Tape HMP-OE2—Products TIPUTIL, MCB, and DPS that you may or may not need to reconfigure to your particular needs. To reconfigure these products, you must build and install them from the package tapes instead of the fast-load tape. • Tape HMP-UDS3—UDS products in absolute format. If you need to customize these products or configure additional applications, you must build and install them from the package tapes instead of the fast-load tape. This subsection describes how to 1. Install TIPUTIL, MCB, and DPS from fast-load tape HMP-OE2 (15.2.1) 2. Set up the TIP environment (15.2.2) 3. Set up application group 3 (15.2.3) 4. Install UDS application 3 from fast-load tape HMP-UDS3 (15.2.4) 7850 5104–009 Version 009B (Web Only) 15–1
