Installing the Basic OS 2200 IOE
Table 13–1 lists information or installation media you need during installation. Obtain the
information or media before beginning. Only the procedures for which you need
information or media are listed.

“First-Load” fast-load tape—labeled “HMP-FLD”
13.4. Establishing the Performance Level (IX6000, IX5000, and IX4800 Series Servers)
Media needed: Exec key tape—labeled “Software Controlled Performance Key Tape” (applicable to
IX6000, IX5000, and IX4800 Series servers only)
13.5. Installing Products from Tape HMP-OE1
Media needed:
Basic fast-load tape—labeled “HMP-OE1” (may be a single tape or a two-tape set)
Information needed:
Reel number for HMP-OE1 tape 1 ___________________
Reel numbers can be any character string up to 6 characters in length.
Reel number for HMP-OE1 tape 2 of 2 ___________________
This is applicable only if HMP-OE1 is a two-tape set.
13.1. Read-and-Reply Message Format
Replies to outstanding OS 2200 read-and-reply console messages must begin with the readand-reply
message number followed by a space. The following example illustrates a
typical read-and-reply message and how you would respond.
