Configuring Intel Nodes for Monitoring by SPO 3. Log on as the Single Point administrator as follows: a. Type spadmin (the SPO administrator user-id). b. Press Enter to advance to the password field. c. Type unisys1234 (the default installation password) and press Enter. 4. A window for selecting a configuration appears. Select one of the supplied configurations that most closely match the ClearPath configuration. Creating a Custom SPO Basic Edition Configuration After selecting a supplied configuration that is similar to the site’s existing ClearPath configuration (12.1), you must create a new configuration to use the node names that have been chosen during the ClearPath installation. The TopCluster diagram and the main menu of the Single Point Configuration routine should still be open. Follow these steps to customize the configuration: 1. Save the current configuration under a new name, as follows: a. On the main menu bar, click File. A drop-down menu appears. b. In the drop-down menu, click Save Configuration As. A dialogue box appears, asking you to enter the name of the new configuration. c. Enter a name (for example, the customer’s name) and click OK. The title bar of the main menu now shows that you are editing the new configuration. 2. To change the name of a node or 2200 console, follow these steps: a. On the TopCluster menu bar, click Edit and select the menu item for the category of node or console you wish to rename (for instance, OS 2200 Consoles). An Edit window appears. b. In the name column for the category you selected, click the name of the node or console you wish to change. A dialogue window appears, asking you to enter a new name. c. When you have finished changing names for one category, click Window on the Windows menu bar, then select Close. f. Repeat steps a through e for all node and console categories that have names you wish to change. 3. If nodes or consoles that are unused or not physically present are named in the configuration, delete them as follows: a. On the TopCluster menu bar, click Delete, then select the appropriate menu item for the node or console you wish to remove from the configuration. A dialogue window appears, asking which systems or consoles you wish to delete. b. Click (highlight) the names of the systems or consoles to be deleted. c. Click OK. 4. Verify the configuration by clicking File on the main menu bar of the configuration routine, then select Verify Configuration. A Configuration Verification Results window appears, listing the results of your changes. If you find errors in the Results window, correct them by repeating the appropriate steps above to rename incorrect nodes or consoles, delete unused ones, or update the hosts file on the SPO server (10.3.3). After you resolve the errors, repeat the verification process (step 4). If there are no errors, a window appears, asking if you wish to verify network connectivity. Click Yes if you wish the SPO server to ping each of the consoles and Intel nodes in the configuration. Click No to skip this test. 5. To save the changes to the configuration, click File on the main menu bar of the configuration routine, then select Save Configuration from the drop-down menu. A dialogue window appears, asking if you want to perform configuration verification. 6. Click No. The configuration is saved. You must repeat this procedure for each Single Point configuration the site will use. To select another configuration, click File on the main menu bar, then click Select Configuration in the drop-down menu that appears. For this release, SPO Basic Edition configurations are named as follows: x_yUNIX_zNT_level where: x is the number of 2200 nodes. y is the number of UnixWare nodes. z is the number of Windows 2000 and Windows NT nodes. level is the SPO Basic Edition release level. 7850 5104–009 Version 009B (Web Only) 12–3

12.2. Creating a Custom SPO Basic Edition<br />
