Installing and Configuring SPO Workstation Software
1. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del.
A logon screen appears.
2. Enter the following information on that screen:
a. User name—Enter administrator.
b. Press the Tab key to advance to the password field.
c. Password—Enter administrator (the installation password).
d. Click OK.
The Welcome to Windows NT screen appears on the Windows NT desktop.
11.15.3. Changing the Default Windows Password
Caution
To prevent unauthorized access to the SPO workstation following initial installation,
the site must change the default password (administrator) to a different password.
After you complete the installation of Windows on the workstation, change the default
password as follows:
Note: The procedure for changing the password may vary slightly depending on your
version of Windows. The basic procedure remains the same, and variations
should be self-explanatory.
1. Log on as the administrator (11.14.1 or 11.14.2).
2. After logging on, press Ctrl-Alt-Del.
A Windows security dialogue box appears.
3. Click Change Password.
A Change Password dialogue box appears.
4. In the Old Password text box, enter the present password (administrator).
5. Tab to the New Password text box and enter the new (site-specific) password.
6. Tab to Confirm New Password and reenter the new password.
7. Click OK.
A dialogue box appears confirming that your password has been changed.
8. Click OK
