7. Click Next.
The Change Preferences screen appears.
8. Click OK.
A screen for selecting the destination directory appears.
9. Click Next to accept the default.
A screen for creating program icons appears.
10. Click Next.
A message indicates that ControlIT Setup is ready to install the required files.
11. Click Finish.
When the installation finishes, a message says that installation is complete.
12. Click OK.
The following message appears:
Your system must be restarted. Restart now?
13. Click No, then close the ControlIT screen. (Click X in the upper right-hand corner.)
14. Set the Windows 2000 path to ControlIT as follows:
a. Click Start, Settings, then Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.
b. Double-click the System icon.
The System Properties window appears.
c. Click Advanced tab.
d. Click Environment Variables.
The Environment Variables window appears.
e. Click Path in the System list of variables.
f. Click Edit.
The Edit System Variable window appears.
g. In the Variable Value field, go to the end of the path and type the following:
;C:\ControlIT
h. Click OK to exit the Edit System Variable window.
i. Click OK to exit the Environment Variables window.
j. Click OK to exit the System Properties window.
14. Close the Control Panel.
The setting is complete, but it will not take effect until the SPO workstation is
rebooted.
15. Reboot the SPO workstation, as follows:
a. Click Start.
