Installing and Configuring SPO Workstation Software Continue by installing the video driver (11.6). 11.7. Installing the Video Driver on the Windows NT Workstation Follow this procedure to install the video driver: Notes: • If you received the GWP-1 console type, start at step 1. • The GWP-1 console video driver requires Service Pack 4 or higher. • For the CWP console type, start at step 10. For GWP-1 console type only: 1. Log on to Windows NT (11.14.2) and insert the ATI Installation CD-ROM International into the drive. The ATI Installation program starts automatically. 2. Click Easy Install. 3. Click Next. 4. Select I agree, then click Next. 5. Select Express Setup if it is not already selected, then click Finish. A message appears when the installation finishes: Install completed successfully. 6. Click OK. A message asks if you wish to restart the computer. 7. Remove the CD-ROM from the drive and click Yes. The system reboots. 8. When the reboot is done, log on to Windows NT again. An Invalid Display Settings window appears. 9. Click OK. A window appears for configuring the video display. For both GWP-1 and CWP console types: 10. Installing SPO Display Software on the Windows NT Workstation SPO display software includes SCO XVision, ControlIT (a product of Computer Associates), and Winsock RSHD/NT. Take these steps to install the SPO display software on the SPO workstation: 1. Install and configure XVision (11.7.1) 2. Install ControlIT (11.7.2). 3. Install Winsock RSHD/NT (11.7.3) After you finish installing the display software, you will skip to 11.13 and continue by installing SPO product information. 11.8.1. Installing and Configuring XVision on the Windows NT Workstation XVision is an X terminal emulator that runs on the SPO workstation. XVision allows the SPO workstation to display SPO Basic Edition screens for monitoring and controlling ClearPath IX server components. Install and configure XVision on the SPO workstation as follows: 1. If you are not currently logged on, power on or restart the SPO workstation and log on (11.14.2). 2. Insert the CD-ROM labeled “SCO Vision 2K” into the drive unit.
