Installing and Configuring SPO Workstation Software Continue by installing network services (11.2). 11.3. Installing Network Services on the Windows NT Workstation To install network services for the SPO workstation: 1. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel to go to the control panel. 2. In the control panel, double-click Network. 3. Click the Services tab. 4. Click Add. 5. Click Microsoft Peer Web Services. 6. Click OK. You are prompted to insert the Windows NT CD-ROM. 7. Insert the CD-ROM. If a Windows CD-ROM window appears, you can close it. Verify that the path is set to D:\I386. 8. Click OK. A Peer Web Services Setup window appears. 9. Click OK. 10. Click OK again. A message asks if you want to create a directory. 11. Click Yes. A Publishing Directories window appears. 12. Click OK. 13. Click Yes to create the directories. In a few seconds, a window appears for installing the SQL Server driver. 14. Click SQL Server once to highlight it, then click OK. Setup completes. 15. Click OK. 16. Click Add to add more services. 17. By the same method as that for the Peer Web Service, select and add Simple TCP/IP services. 18. A message asks whether you want to shut down the computer at this time. 20. Click No. Continue with 11.3. 11.4. Installing the Latest Service Pack for Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Note: The latest recommended service pack is shipped with the system. The instructions that follow are based on Windows NT Service Pack 4. If a later service pack arrived with the system, install it using these instructions as a guideline. To install a Windows NT Service Pack on the SPO workstation, follow these steps: 1. Insert the Windows NT Service Pack n CD-ROM into the drive unit. Internet Explorer should start automatically and a Service Pack n home page appears. 2. Click the Install Service Pack n link, then click Open. A License Agreement screen appears. 3. Click Accept the License Agreement. 4. Click Install. A Service Pack Setup screen appears. Files are copied and the service pack is installed. During installation, a Windows NT Service Pack Setup window may appear, listing the name of a file with the following message: This file has been identified as an oem-installed file. Would you like to overwrite the version of the file on your system with the Service Pack n version? 5. Click No for all file messages that may appear.
