Click the IP Address tab, then enter the following IP address information: 1) Click Specify an IP address. 2) In the IP Address field enter the IP address for the Windows NT workstation from Table 2–2, then press Tab. 3) Change the subnet mask to the netmask address from Table 2–2, or change it to 255.255.255.0 (class C). 4) If you have a gateway (router), click Advanced (otherwise skip this step) and take the following steps: a) Click Add. b) In the New Gateway field, type the gateway address from Table 2–2. c) Click Add. The address appears in the Installed gateways: list box. d) Repeat these steps for each additional gateway required, then click OK when done. c. If the site chooses to implement WINS, click the WINS Address tab (otherwise skip this step), then enter the following WINS information: 1) In the Primary WINS Server field, type the address from Table 2–2, then press Tab. 2) If applicable, type the IP address of the Secondary WINS Server from Table 2–2. d. If the site has a domain name server (DNS), click the DNS tab (otherwise skip this step), and take the following steps: 1) Enter the domain name the site uses for DNS (Table 2–2). 2) Enter the IP address for the first DNS from Table 2–2. 3) Click Add. The DNS address is added to the search order list box. 4) Repeat these steps for each additional DNS server. 19. Click OK. 20. Click Next to proceed. A setup screen identifies the host name of the SPO workstation and asks whether the node is to participate in a workgroup or domain. 21. Click Workgroup, enter a workgroup name of CLEARPATH, then click Next to proceed. The Windows NT Setup screen indicates it is ready to finish setup. 22. Click Finish. Installing and Configuring SPO Workstation Software 23. Click the Time zone tab and, if necessary, take the following steps for each field: a. Time zone—To change the time zone, click the scroll bar arrow and scroll up or down to select the correct time zone. The map shifts over the time zone selected. b. Daylight saving time—Click the check box to select daylight saving time if it applies to the time zone. 24. Click the Date and Time tab and, if necessary, take the following steps for each field: a. Month—Click the scroll bar arrow and scroll up or down to select the correct month. b. Year—Click the scroll bar arrow and scroll up or down to select the correct year. c. Day of the month—Click the correct date to set it on the calendar. d. Time—Click the scroll bar arrow and scroll up or down until the correct time appears. e. Click Close when done with both the date and time. A message box appears that indicates the type of video adapter and VGA-compatible display adapter detected 25. Click OK to continue. A screen appears for configuring the video display. 26. Click OK to continue. Files are copied from the CD-ROM. Messages appear to indicate progress: Windows NT 4.00 has been installed successfully. Remove disks from floppy drives and choose Restart Computer. 27. Remove the CD-ROM from the drive unit, then click Restart Computer. Ignore messages for selecting the Windows NT mode and allow Windows NT to start automatically. The Windows NT logo appears and a message box prompts you to press Ctrl-Alt-Del to log on. 28. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del. A logon dialogue box appears. 29. Enter the following information: a. User name—Enter administrator. b. Press the Tab key to advance to the password field. c. Password—Enter administrator (the installation password). d. Click OK. Notes: • The logon information is case-sensitive. • If the SPO workstation is part of a domain, you must also enter a domain name. b. Click the IP Address tab, then enter the following IP address information:<br />

1) Click Specify an IP address.<br />

2) In the IP Address field enter the IP address for the Windows NT workstation<br />

from Table 2–2, then press Tab.<br />

19. Click OK.<br />

20. Click Next to proceed.<br />
