Installing SPO Basic Edition and Related Software
Note: Skip steps a through h and proceed to step 14 if your SPO server and system
consoles are all on the same LAN.
a. Press Esc to get the menu bar and select the Changes menu bar item (Figure
10–3). A list of options appears as follows:
Initialize Work
Execute Changes
Report Changes
b. Select Initialize Work. Press Enter, then press Enter again to execute.
c. Press Esc to activate the menu bar, and select the Routers menu bar item (Figure
10–3). A list of options appears as follows:
Add Router
Delete Router
Display Routers
d. Press Enter to select Add Router. The window shown in Figure 10–5 appears.

e. In the bottom portion of that window, enter the IP address and host name of the
router.
f. When done, press Enter. The Single Point Interface Utility window reappears.
g. Select the Changes menu bar item (Figure 10–3). A list of options appears as
follows:
Initialize Work
Execute Changes
Report Changes
h. Select Execute Changes to enable the changes to the hosts file, and press Enter to
execute.
Note: When the router is configured, you can use the SAVE option to save the
router and host information for later loading at other system consoles.
