7. Press Enter again to position the cursor in the diskette type field. Press an arrow key
to activate the following drop down list:
DOS-HD
DOS-DD
UNIX
8. Select the UNIX option and press Enter.
9. Tab to the Host Name field and enter the name of the system console you are loading.
This name identifies the system console on the TCP/IP network (for example, so the
SPO server can communicate with it).
Note: The name specified can be different from the system console name used on
the SCF token ring LAN.
10. Tab to the other fields on the form and make entries as follows:
• Select No in the "Use hosts file subnetwork information if available?" field, unless
you are using subnet masking, in which case you should select Yes.
• Select Yes in the "Use hosts file router information if available?" field, unless for
some reason you do not wish to use the router, in which case you should enter No.
11. Press Enter. When the Execute box appears, press Enter again. You are prompted to
insert the diskette.
Insert the diskette
Note: Be sure to insert the diskette in the system console diskette drive unit.
12. In the system console diskette drive unit, insert the hosts file diskette created when
you ran the tuning script. Press Enter. A window appears indicating that the system is
working and that you should wait. The following message appears:
Added old router information to the new hosts file.
New hosts file loaded. Press Enter to continue.
13. Press Enter to continue. If the SPO server and system consoles are not all on the same
LAN, you need to add router information to the hosts file as follows:
