9. Enter the following command to reboot:
init 6
Continue by creating a hosts file diskette (10.12).
10.12. Creating a 2200 Console Hosts File Diskette
Follow these steps to create a diskette containing the hosts file for the 2200 console:
1. If you are not already logged on at the SPO server, log on as superuser in character
mode (10.15.3).
2. Insert a blank diskette into the drive.
3. Enter the following command to change the default directory to /etc/inet:
cd /etc/inet
4. Enter the following command to copy the hosts file to the diskette:
tar cv ./hosts
5. Remove the diskette from the drive.
Continue the installation by copying the hosts file from diskette to the system consoles
(10.13).
10.13. Copying the Hosts File to 2200 System
Consoles
Before using SPO Basic Edition software, you must copy the hosts file you saved to
diskette (10.12) to each 2200 system console. The hosts file provides the system consoles
with the network addresses (IP addresses) of the SPO server and other hosts on the
network. The hosts file does not provide the IP address of the router to which the console
LAN might be connected.
You load the hosts file to each system console from diskette using the Single Point
Interface Utility accessed through the 2200 Series system console Utilities session
(Optional Features option) (see Figure 10–2). The consoles can be done in any order, but
you must repeat the procedure on every system console.
