10.5. Installing the UnixWare Platform Support Kit
(PSK)
To install the UnixWare 7.1.1 PSK Release 3 CD-ROM(Unisys), do the following:
1. Log on as the root user (user-id root) in character mode (10.15.3).
2. Insert the UW 7.1.1 PSK Release 3 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
3. From the command line at the root directory, enter the following pkgadd command
and press Enter:
pkgadd -d cdrom1 erf oempsm
A prompt to insert the CD-ROM appears.
Insert CD into CD-ROM Drive 1.
Type [go] when ready,
or [q] to quite: (default: go)
The erf and oempsm packages are installed.
4. When the erf and oempsm installation completes, you must install the required
program temporary fixes (PTF) from the PSK CD-ROM. Proceed as follows:
a. With the CD-ROM still in the drive, enter
mount -F cdfs -r /dev/cdrom/cdrom1 /mnt
/mnt/ptfs/go
A list of required PTFs is displayed.
b. Select ALL by pressing ENTER.
The PTFs are installed.
c. When the installation completes, remove the CD-ROM from the drive.
d. Enter the following to reboot the system:
init 6
5. After the system restarts, log on as the root user (user-id root) in character mode
(10.15.3).
Continue by applying any additional fixes(10.6).

After applying any fixes, continue by setting up the search engine (10.7).
