12. Enter the domain name, IP address, and default router, and click OK.
You receive a message when the adapter has been successfully added.
13. Click OK.
14. Click OK again.
15. Select Hardware.
16. Select Add new LAN adapter.
17. Select the following adapter :
SysKonnect FDDI PCI Adapter - PCI Slot x Bus x Device x Function 0
18. Select Continue.
The Network Driver Configuration dialog box is displayed. Select OK.
As the adapter is added, you are prompted to select a protocol.
19. Select TCP/IP.
20. Select Add.
21. Enter the domain name, IP address, and default router, and click OK.
Enter the correct information in the required fields as follows (do not change other
fields):
• Node name—Enter the assigned node name (for example, fddiuxsr for UnixWare
node 1) as identified in Appendix B.
• Domain name—Enter the domain name for the site (for example,
companyname.com)
• System IP address—Enter the assigned IP address for this node (for example,
192.168.57.4 for UnixWare node 1) as identified in Appendix B.
• Netmask—255.255.255.0
You receive a message when the adapter has been successfully added.
22. Select OK.
23. Select Hardware.
24. Select Exit.
Continue by configuring a domain name service client (8.6.2).
8.6.2. Configuring a Domain Name Service Client
To configure a domain name service client, do the following (from the graphical interface):
1. Double-click Client Manager.
2. Double-click DNS client.
3. Enter either one of the following:
• Domain search order
