Completing Windows Installation
When the CD-ROM has been inserted, the installation program starts automatically.
The Management Solutions window appears.
3. Under Install Your Product, click ControlIT.
The License Agreement window appears.
4. Click I Agree.
You are asked to select the type of ControlIT environment to install. Select Install
Non-Managed Viewer and Host Components.
5. Click Next.
The Installation Wizard screen appears.
6. Make sure Install Agent Host is checked and Install Agent Viewer is not checked.
Under Setup Options, select Advanced.
7. Click Next, then click Next again.
The Change Preferences screen appears.
8. Click OK.
The Emergency Repair Disk screen appears.
9. Click Next.
The Select Destination Directory screen appears.
10. Click Next to accept the default.
A screen for creating program icons appears.
11. Click Next.
A Ready to Install message appears.
12. Click Finish.
When the installation finishes, click OK.
The following message appears:
Your system must be restarted. Restart now?
13. Remove the CD-ROM from the drive unit, then click Yes.
After the system reboots, configure ControlIT as follows:
1. Click Start > then select Programs > Control-IT > Control-IT.
The main ControlIT screen appears.
2. Select File, then Preferences.
A tabbed Change User Preferences screen appears.
3. Click the General tab and configure the General preferences as follows:
a. In the box labeled “Start automatically when Windows starts,” click “Start before
logon” to select it.
b. Ensure that the check box labeled “Waiting for incoming connection on startup” is
selected (has a check mark). If it does not, click the check box to select it.
