Completing Windows Installation (ES2024R only) Scroll to D:\WINNT40\Display\S3savage4 (where D: is the CD-ROM) and select it. 7. Click OK. (ES5044R only) An entry appears for the ATI 3D RAGEIIC PCI graphics adapter. (ES2045R and ES5085R only) An entry appears for the Cirrus Logic CL-GD54xx graphics adapter. Click this entry to highlight it. (ES2024R only) An entry appears for the S3Inc. Savage 4… graphics adapter. Click this entry to highlight it. 8. Click OK, then Yes to proceed with the third-party driver installation. The following message appears: Drivers were successfully installed 9. Click OK, then Close on each open screen to close it. When the last screen is closed, the following message appears: Do you want to restart your computer now? Yes No 10. Remove the CD from the drive unit, then click Yes to reboot the server. a. When the server reboots, log on as administrator. b. Click OK on the Invalid Display Settings window. A tabbed Display Properties screen appears. 11. Click the Settings tab to bring it to the front, then select the desired video resolution, color depth, and refresh rate. 12. Click Test, then click OK to start the test. A test screen appears. 13. If the test screen appears to be correct, click Yes to confirm the setting is OK. 14. Click Apply to apply the new settings. You may have to reboot the server depending on the settings you have chosen; otherwise, click OK on the Display Properties screen. Continue by installing Internet Explorer (7.1.7). 7.1.7. Installing Internet Explorer (Full Install Only) Follow these steps to install a more current Internet Explorer. Note: This procedure is necessary only for a full Windows NT installation. Skip this procedure if Windows NT is preloaded. 1. Insert the Service Pack n CD-ROM (labeled “Windows NT Service Pack n”) into the drive unit. Internet Explorer (IE) should start automatically and a Service Pack n home page appears. 2. Completing Windows Installation 3. Click Next to Internet Explorer Active Setup. A License Agreement screen appears. 4. Click Accept and then click Install. A prompt appears, asking whether you want to select which Internet Explorer components are installed. 5. Select Standard Installation and click Next.. A prompt appears, asking whether you want to install the Windows Desktop update. Select No and click Next. 6. For the Active Channel selection, scroll to the top and select NONE. Click Next. 7. Click Next for Default Folder Location. 8. When Internet Explorer Active Setup has finished installing components, click OK to finish the installation. 9. Remove the CD-ROM and click OK to restart your computer. 10. When the reboot is complete, log on as the administrator again. Microsoft Internet Explorer Setup runs. A window saying Welcome to Windows NT appears. 11. Close the Welcome - Microsoft Internet Explorer window. Depending on your server, continue with the steps in 7.1.8 (ES2045R, ES5085R, or ES2024R) or 7.1.9 (DR/2). 7.1.8. Installing the Active Server Pages Upgrade for IIS (ES2045R, ES5085R, or ES2024R) Follow these steps to install the Active Server Pages update for IIS with Windows NT Server, Enterprise Edition (ES2045R, ES5085R, or ES5024R): 1. If you are not currently logged on, power on or restart the Windows NT node and log on as the administrator. 2. Click Start, then select Programs > Administrative Tools > Enterprise Edition Installer. A Microsoft Windows NT Server, Enterprise Edition Installer window appears. Note: If Enterprise Edition Installer is not present, do the following: a. Click Start, then select Run. b. Type the following command. NHLOADER c. Click OK. 3. Click Continue. 4. Continue by installing Internet Explorer (7.1.7).<br />
7.1.7. Installing Internet Explorer (Full Install Only)<br />
Follow these steps to install a more current Internet Explorer.<br />
Note: This procedure is necessary only for a full Windows NT installation. Skip this<br />
procedure if Windows NT is preloaded.<br />
1. Insert the Service Pack n CD-ROM (labeled “Windows NT Service Pack n”) into the<br />
drive unit. Internet Explorer (IE) should start automatically <strong>and</strong> a Service Pack n<br />
home page appears.<br />
2. Scroll down to the Install IE for Intel-based <strong>Systems</strong> link <strong>and</strong> click Open.<br />
