Installing Windows NT Server 4.0 (DR/2) b. Click the IP Address tab, then enter the following IP address information: 1) Click Specify an IP address. 2) In the IP Address field enter the IP address for the Windows NT node from Table 2–2, then press Tab. 3) Change the subnet mask to the netmask address from Table 2–2, or skip this field (accept the default). 4) If you have a gateway (router), click Advanced (otherwise skip this step) and take the following steps: a) Click Add. b) In the New Gateway field, type the gateway address from Table 2–2. c) Click Add. The address appears in the Installed gateways: list box. d) Repeat these steps for each additional gateway required, then click OK when done. c. If the site chooses to implement WINS, click the WINS Address tab (otherwise skip this step), then enter the following WINS information: Note: Be sure the Ethernet adapter is selected, and not the FDDI adapter. WINS is not used on the FDDI interconnect. 1) In the Primary WINS Server field, type the address from Table 2–2, then press Tab. 2) If applicable, type the IP address of the Secondary WINS Server from Table 2–2. d. Click the DNS tab and take the following steps: 1) Enter the IP address for the first DNS server from Table 2–2, if the site has any DNS servers. 2) Click Add. The DNS address is added to the search order list box. 3) Repeat these steps for each additional DNS server. 4) Enter a domain name, if possible, for proper operation of the IIS services. 27. Click OK. The following message appears: At least one adapter cards has an empty WINS address. Do you want to continue? 28. Click YES. A screen appears that allows you to confirm the network bindings. 29. Click Next to proceed. A screen appears indicating that Windows NT is ready to start the network. 30. Installing Windows NT Server 4.0 (DR/2) A setup screen identifies the host name of the Windows NT node and asks whether the node is to participate in a workgroup or domain. 31. Click Workgroup, enter a workgroup name of CLEARPATH, then click Next to proceed. You can enter a different workgroup name if the client site requirements are different. The Windows NT Setup screen indicates it is ready to Finish Setup. 32. Click Finish. A message indicates that Setup is configuring Windows NT. Then a Microsoft Internet Information Server 2.0 Setup screen appears. 33. Configure Internet Information Server (IIS) properties as follows: a. Click OK to accept the defaults. A prompt asks if you want to create an inetsrv directory. b. Click Yes to create the directory. A list of publishing directories appears. c. Click OK to accept the default Publishing Directories. A prompt says directories do not exist. d. Click Yes to create the directories. Directories are created and a prompt appears to install drivers. e. Click to highlight SQL Server, then click OK to install the ODBC driver. Files are copied, then a tabbed Date/Time Properties screen appears. 34. Click the Time zone tab and, if necessary, take the following steps for each field: a. Time zone—To change the time zone, click the scroll bar arrow and scroll up or down to select the correct time zone. The map shifts over the time zone selected. b. Daylight saving time—Click the check box to select daylight saving time if it applies to the time zone. 35. Click the Date and Time tab and, if necessary, take the following steps for each field: a. Month field—Click the scroll bar arrow and scroll up or down to select the correct month. b. Year field—Click the scroll bar arrow and scroll up or down to select the correct year. c. Day of the month—Click the correct date to set it on the calendar. d. Time—Click the scroll bar arrow and scroll up or down until the correct time appears. e. Click Close when done with both the date and time. A message box appears that indicates the type of video adapter that was detected. 36. Click OK to continue.
