Installing Windows NT Server, Enterprise Edition (ES2045R)
35. Configure the video display as follows:
a. Click Test to ensure that the default settings work.
A message box indicates that a test will be performed with the video mode
selected (default VGA mode with 16 colors).
b. Click OK to proceed.
A color test pattern briefly appears followed by a message box asking if you saw
the test pattern properly.
c. Click Yes to proceed if you saw the pattern correctly.
A message box says to click OK to save the settings.
d. Click OK to save the display properties settings.
You are returned to the display properties screen.
e. Click OK to proceed.
Files are copied from the CD-ROM. Messages appear to indicate progress.
When the installation is complete, a screen with a message like the following appears:
One or more minor errors occurred installing ...
36. Click No.
Then the following message appears.
Windows NT 4.00 has been installed successfully.
Remove disks from floppy drives and choose Restart Computer.
37. Remove the diskette and the CD-ROM from the drive units, then click Restart
Computer.
Ignore messages for selecting the Windows NT mode and allow Windows NT to start
automatically. The Windows NT Server logo appears and a message box prompts you
to press Ctrl-Alt-Del to log on.
38. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del.
A logon dialog box appears.
39. Log on as described in 5.5.
The Windows NT desktop appears with a Welcome to Windows NT screen.
Following logon, you can complete Windows NT installation as described in Section 7.
